Visiting Galveston for the week and looking for some good home cooking, we found Soul 2 Soul! OMG - do not sleep on this place! Everything was so delicious, so much so that after I ate, I ordered more food to go. The cabbage, y'all. Glad I got to try it before it ran out for the day. 🤤 The owner was super friendly and came to check on us and make sure we were enjoying everything. I wish I wasn't almost 4 hours away - Soul 2 Soul would be a weekly stop for me if I lived nearby.
Stopped here with my family of five on our vacation and we were amazingly surprised. My eldest son is a "food connoisseur" and loves to try foods from all over the world. We can't wait to go back and eat here.
The food is awesome. The staff and owners are awesome people as well.

My husband, little sister and I came at 11:05, excited to try some soul food during our weekend in Galveston. Serve your own drink, paper plates… I knew this was gonna be GREAT. Now… we ate this meal in SILENCE! Wow….We didn’t realize it was an All You Can Eat Brunch on Sunday but I’m so glad it was. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and friendly workers who are EXTREMELY kind. Love the LOVE here…. Gonna come back EVERY TIME we in Galveston. Let the pic speak for itself 💪🏽
Everyone definitely recommend trying the banana pudding and wills famous pound cake. Flavor was amazing and definitely will be getting it again!!
Great food ,part I didn't like was trying to decide what I wanted. Catfish and shrimp were awesome. Fried ribs,so good almost bit my finger off! Getting other items when we get back to Galveston! Nice family atmosphere and nice touch owner came out and checked on our tables.🤤
This was one of the most enjoyable restaurant experiences I've had in all my life. The food was simply divine, the staff was friendly and for the quality and quantity of food you're getting, everything was very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere felt like I was coming home to family. I highly recommend the Soul 2 Soul Cafe to anyone in the area, regardless of wether you're just visiting Galveston once or you've lived there all your life. You won't regret it!!
Everything about this place was Absolutely Amazing, hands down the Best Black-eyed peas I've ever had, all the food was sooo good, and the staff was Wonderful, so much that she was skipping through songs and when I heard one I liked, I said go back, and she did 😀 this will definitely be a go to spot from now on when we go to Texas... next I will save room for the fried pound cake 😀 ohhh and the cornbread Superb...
Family stopped by during visit to Galveston. The customer service was excellent, and very personable. Food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Will definitely return while visiting the Island.
If you’re a “I don’t eat everybody’s greens and potato salad” type of person, you will ADORE this place. Customer service is wonderful and the food is even better. EVERYTHING in both photos is delicious. A wonderful home cooked meal feeling. We will definitely be visiting every time we come to Galveston.
