A slightly expensive restaurant, but the food is worth it. They have the crispiest fries I've ever had. The risotto is also very delicious. You will definitely feel the luxury and deliciousness in it.
Do not sleep on this place! We came for the ciopinno which was omg *chef's kiss*. Very fresh seafood including lobster, scallops, huge shrimp, calamari, mussels and clams. The tomato based broth was perfect.
However, I was most delighted by the Shanghai Delight. Sea bass was so fresh and delicious, I immediately burst into tears as it reminded me of my grandma's cooking. I also loved that they drenched everything in the light and savory broth. Highly recommend!!
We went for a Wednesday night date night and thoroughly enjoyed our experience here! Oysters were excellent, entrées were great and dessert was good. Service was attentive and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this place if you’re in the Galveston area.
Such a great time last night at Saltwater Grill. Great food and great service as always. They prepared a special order for me no problem when I asked. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fine dining experience on the Galveston Coast. 10/10
The food is devine, fresh, and delicious. Let’s talk about why it doesn’t get a 5 star review. There is a parking lot beside the restaurant but you have to pay to park. There are a few places in the front of the building but this is very limited. The noise level inside this place is too much. Music playing while guests are talking over the music. Dress is business casual but let’s face it half the people in here were dressed in workout/ street clothes. I was hoping this was less of a kid friendly place and more of an adult atmosphere for finer dining. It is not. The space is limited and I suggest you make reservations if you have a party of 4 or more. Great service, the hostess was the best part. The waitress was great too and our food came out quickly. Even still the food was amazing, like truly some of the best food I have had. My husband never finishes his whole steak. He said this one was way too good to reheat later. This is a huge compliment from him! We will be back!
This place is amazing. Red snapper, Corn and Crab 🦀 Chowder, Scallops, Shrimp and steaks are all amazing as well as the Calamari!!!!
Had an excellent dining experience. Food was was outstanding. The restaurant very inviting. Service was excellent. The fondue was flavorful. Lobster bisque was delicious. Our server Gabriela made our visit fun and welcoming, excellent service. Will make it regular stop when in Galveston.
This was our 1st time here as we saw it was pricey and were hesitant to take our daughter. I'm glad we finally ventured out! We started our meal with their bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer. It was served over delicious cheesy corn grits. Shrimp was cooked perfectly & bacon was crispy. I enjoyed their snapper blackened with veggies. I decided to try their side of lobster risotto. I would not call this a risotto as the consistency was too thick. However, it was still tasty and had plenty of lobster. My husband enjoyed their filet & said it was cooked to perfection. He got their crab mac & and cheese, which was crabby, cheesy, goodness! They actually had a kids' menu, and our daughter ate from it and enjoyed her meal. We opted for their red velvet cake to go to enjoy later. It was good, but a little dry. Our entrees did require salt & pepper. Our server was very sweet and attentive. As we were leaving, another couple received their pot stickers that looked delicious!Overall, it was a great experience. We definitely want to come back for happy hour & appetizers.
The chef special fish (gulf snapper) & shrimp special with raspberry sauce was very delicious. Service was phenomenal! Wow! Oysters were farm raised from Louisiana. They were really Creamy but I miss that brine/liquor. Out of season possibly. Anyways service was amazing. The almond coconut crusted salmon was one of their most popular dishes we were told so we ordered it. EXCELLENT! We had two little ones with us and they each enjoyed the chicken fettuccine and so did the adults who took bites of it. I hope they work on their wine list. A little more selection of wines and more mid point price would be great. Yes we will be back. So many great dishes you can't go wrong with this place.
We ate here for the first time today and it was fantastic! We loved the lobster spring rolls. I had the cioppino and my husband had the Chilean sea bass, both were absolutely delicious. We had the creme brulee for dessert, the sugar needed to be dissolved a bit more but it was yummy. We definitely recommend and will be back. You really need to make reservations to eat dinner there. Our waiter, David, was hilarious, we really enjoyed his service.
