Large variety of food to choose from! One of my favorite buffets!
Pretty good buffet. The fried shrimp was my favorite dish. If you like chicken feet, then you'll love their ample supply of it. Their steamed fish was tasty, prepared with soy sauce and oil. They grill a lot of their meats too, and there's crab and coconut-flavored shrimp as well. They have a Asian sushi chef too and a section of Mexican entrees too. Their 3 flavors of ice cream are the real deal too, not from a machine. I didn't care for their Hot & Sour soup, however, much too hot for my tastes. Drinks and refills are included in the buffet price. In summary, compared to Tang's Dynasty, they are just as good as them.
Great Place for Fish. When you have a fiancee from Alaska, you most likely will want to make him happy with fish. Well, A Star has many, many, MANY fish dishes that satisfy. It was fresh, tasty and about the normal price for a buffet. I have been here with my family a few times as it is close to our home, and have not had and qualms with it. The only thing that gets nerve wracking is the people who go there. They really need to wrangle up their children so they do not trip others. BONUS: You can eat free on your birthday!
Awesome variety of food. Taste great and it's the cleanest buffet spot in Fresno
My mother wanted to go here for her birthday which landed on a Friday so they were super packed. I paid $75 I think for 3 adults. They have a good shellfish selection but according to my mom they change it up depending on the days you go in. Even with it packed they were clean. Didn't see anything that stood out as dirty to me and everyone was nice. The seat I sat on was coming apart but I think that's just from rowdy kids bouncing on it. I give it 4 stars because it seems like one of those places that could be hit or miss depending on when you go. Food and service though was overall good!
$15 lunch includes whatever seafood is served. Fresh tongs for each time you go and fill your plate. Keep your plastic fork/spoons, but they will come throw away your finished styrofoam plates
