My friend suggested this place and it didn't disappoint! I am a big fan of the Italiano sub and we just tried the meatball sub and were not disappointed. There is also a freezer section with homemade desserts and other foods like lasagna, soup, and sauces. I forget to buy bread but that is available too. Fast service with really nice staff.
I want to say five stars, but the canoli is keeping that from happening.
I will say it was our first time so maybe it was an off day.
The Chicago hot beef was amazing. Full of meat and flavor and their bread is incredible. We also got spaghetti sauce for tonight that I'm certain will be great. My husband loved his Italian sandwich.
I can't say no to a canoli and was excited for these given the flavor and quality of everything else I had at this point. Imagine my disappointment to not get through more than two bites. Instead of doing a canoli filling, it seems they just take straight marscapone and fill it. It was like eating a block of cream cheese texture with some pastry sprinkled around. There was no movement or fluff to the filling, and given the flavor, it very well could have been cream cheese still unfreezing vs marscapone. I'm not sure if this is their typical approach to their canolis or if perhaps someone grabbed the wrong tube when filling them, but needless to say I was disappointed to toss it but couldn't eat it.
We without a doubt will be back and excited to try other sandwiches and such, but if this is how the canolis are done, will be getting our fix of them elsewhere.
Very good sandwiches.
Very good flavor. I'm from Chicago so I'm use to a good Italian deli and this place definitely is top of the list. Will be making a special trip back for sure!
Be sure to get the chicken salad it's amazing along with the briannos special or an Italian beef, you can't go wrong
Some of the best Italian in the Metro. Good portion size at a great price. I've had their chicken cavatapi, eggplant based lasagna, manicotti. It's all authentic, and delicious. Service was prompt and courteous. Keep up the good work
Got the 16" pizza, sausage pepperoni!! Outstanding!! I grew up in NYC and worked at a pizza shop for a few summers. While the crust is different, the pizza is well worth the money. It will feed a lot of people and grat leftover.
We use to live in Burnsville and would ALWAYS get our food here, hence my husband being Italian and very picky about Italian food. We were driving by Burnsville on way home and had to stop in.
You walk in and the smell of the food is mouth watering. So much to chose from!
Guys are great, food can't be beat!
The food is fantastic, service is usually pretty good (slow if busy at all). The prices can give some sticker shock compared to similar offerings- but I’d bet Brianno’s makes it better. Pizza and meatballs are 🧑🍳😘
Seriously the best pizza in the south metro! They also have a great mini-deli/market. If you're needing Italian ingredients, chances are good they'll have it.
