Came on a crowded night. Hostess said 20 min wait but got me seated in 10. Sound level was ear shattering loud. Live music was good. Ordered dry rub ribs and bbq chicken combo. A lot of food for me. Many sides including Cole slaw, bbq beans, jalapeño corn bread and french fries. Food was tasty and we'll presented. Service was attentive despite the busy atmosphere. Good value for the quality and amount of food received.
Awesome, every time! Steak tips appetizer, tons of beers on tap and good service. Also love the Artichoke dip with grilled pita. This place is my go to for the warmer months. Never had an issue.
Much Much Better. When the Lone Oak Grill opened we saw the reviews and steered clear. We have been there twice in the last couple of months and I love it. The service was great, the menu is very diverse and the food was delicious and fast. we like the appetizer steak bites. Today we tries the Asian lettuce wraps with peanut dip - pretty good. And a special off of the side menu, pasta with spicy sausage, peas. peppers and red sauce - delicious. And the pork ribs. They were very good and the beans were great. Good drinks too. I think they make their own whiskey. Oh yea, I got the Jambalaya to go for leftovers. Love this place.
Had an excellent Jumbalya. Had just the right bite to it. Lots of meat. Far more than I could eat in one sitting. Prices are good and the place was packed. Always a good sign.
Phenominal Buffet. I had heard some pretty good things about this place so I checked it out for brunch one Sunday and it was outstanding. Very fair price (about $15.00) and they had a ton of great things to pick from: Belgium waffles, omlettes, french toast, a bunch of different meat and a lot of different fruit (not to mention some pretty good screwdrivers). I`ll definitly be back.
Very good. I travel on business to Eagan from Atlanta every 6 weeks. I always enjoy coming to the Lone Oak Grill for dinner and drinks. The bar tenders are very professional. I would especially like to thank Russell. He not only remembers my name he also remembers the type of beer I like and has excellent recommendations. I often bring business associates to the Lone Oak. The personal and professional service that Russell offers is outstanding and is very much appreciated by my clients and myself.
Had a great time, selection of food and drinks not the same old things offered everywhere. Love ths Big Apple flatbread ! Bloody Mary's delicious!
Great! beer selection is awesome, great variety of food, adventurous. those providing the negative review wanting "bar food" should go to a bland national chain and drink a macro brew. great atmosphere as well!

I Support Local. That 1600+ word mostly negative “review” (2.5 pages!!) mentioning the food prices six (??) times leads me to believe a person either has an agenda or they REALLY enjoy hearing themselves talk. Or maybe this is a way to get free meals about town?
My suggestion is that you go check the place out and decide for yourself. We have a lot of restaurants in the area and none of them should go down because of one person’s rather wordy opinion. Decide for yourself!!
My experience:
Prices are comparable to the local Perkins, Champps, Chili’s. The difference was you could tell the ingredients were fresh, made on site and not shipped in bulk pre-made.
I had the Lone Oak Burger. It was cooked to my request, quality meat and didn’t have the premade charbroiled “flavor” like comparable restaurants mentioned above.
I do not like raw onion or cheese on my burger but decided to let them make it as it was intended. The onion jam was fantastic. Obvious it didn’t come out of a can. For me it brought out all the goodness that an onion gives a dish without the flavor or aftertaste I don’t like. The cheese was really good, I actually liked it. Tillamook cheddar will be on my next cheeseburger!
I chose fries with my burger. I have never had a seasoned French fry I liked and I didn’t realize they were seasoned. When my food came I was intrigued by the green herby bits on the fries. After tasting them I chucked my bun off my burger so I could eat them instead. I might be wrecked because I will never see a regular salted fry the same.
My 15 yr old niece was along and she had the Italian Lucy. She didn’t talk and ate the whole thing except 3 fries. Later she posted on Face Book recommending her friends go there.
The atmosphere and colors were pleasant. The only thing I missed was a focal point in the space. I’m looking forward to a fall evening out on the patio with the fire pits and some friends!
I didn’t have room for dessert, was too full from the burger and fries so will have to stop back for a “dessert first” occasion.
The staff was really attentive and friendly. Got smiles and hello from staff that weren’t even serving us. Very professional.
Was hoping for a more neighborhood bar, some place that would cater to the average working person with good bar food way over priced for amount of food you receive. People who live in the neighborhood have the same reviews. No happy hour on fridays. Will not return
We came here for a happy hour found it to be an above average suburban sports bar. The building and set up is nice, but it was surprising they didn’t have the patio open on a beautiful Friday afternoon. Great beer selection and it has a decent sports bar food menu. The staff was friendly and the service was pretty good, but it felt like they were understaffed. Overall we had a good experience and will be back when we’re nearby.
One of our favorite eateries in this area. Great servers & yummy food. Nice atmosphere. Patio tables are a plus when weather permits. We had Southwest Chicken Salad & Pulled Pork sandwich. Both were very good.
I love this place!!! The patio is great, the inside is cool! The food is always a win! I've been there about 5 times and have brought family. There has been no bad experience! Last visit we got the Chicken Caesar salad and the chicken tender meal. Wonderful drinks as well!!

Every component of this meal was excellent.
We started with the loaded hash browns (not pictured) and they were delicious; it was hard not to fill up on just that! The rest of their appetizer menu looks great and we talked about going back just to do apps another time.
My BF got the ribs for dinner with potato salad and Mac n cheese; I chose the KY pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast. The sandwich had a layer of ham, topped with pulled pork and then the bacon-- I wasnt expecting the ham but it really enhanced the flavor! It was so big that it was hard to bite into as a sandwich and I ended up removing the top piece of toast and eating it open faced. We both tried a little of everything, and we both thought everything was great. Between the meals and app, we tried 4/5 sauces and all were good (I liked the one on my sandwich best; BF noted that the mustard sauce was more mustardy than BBQy). The pickled onions served on the side of the ribs had a nice tangy flavor. Portions are generous - We both went home with leftovers, plus leftovers from the app. +2 sodas, $60 before tip.
Service was great-- it was a busy Saturday night, but the woman who served us was friendly, quick, attentive, and had a great memory.
We sat on the patio and I highly recommend it if you can-- it's a very nice ambiance, and the live music was nice too!

I have been a regular of Lone Oak Grill for a number of years. Biggest pluses for me are the wonderful beer selections (both on tap and in bottles/cans), and their buffalo wings. Minuses are described below.
The wings have become kinda expensive over the past couple of years with COVID, but still good overall (big and well prepared). But now $16 for 12 wings, they are getting expensive. Beers feature a lot of local craft breweries as well as regional and national selections.
This is a simple straight-forward sports bar, though. Lots of seating options, and a full array of televisions - big ones and small ones. There's a pull-tab booth, and nice comfy booths to cozy up in too. Their outdoor patio is wonderful, though the freeway is close-by, so it can get loud out there. Occasionally, they have live music/DJ there on the small stage.
Why I give this a 4-star is for the minuses for me: Location is tough! It's just in a weird location, with indirect access to 35E and main roads in Eagan. It does great business with the business travelers from the nearby hotels, but for us locals, the location is a ding for me personally. Also, the recent trip when I took these photos, the service was "off", and the online beer menu was not "current"! If you have an online beer menu through Untappd, it's easy to update it, right??? Grrr.... I hate that.
They used to offer an "late happy hour" from 9 PM to close, but this went away with COVID. That's disappointing, as well.
But otherwise, beer prices are inline with other Eagan "mid tier" bars/restaurants, and it can get crowded when there's a good game on. Food is basic bar food - burgers, etc, but they do offer some unique salads and dinner options.
Great quiet spot to enjoy dinner with your loved ones. Food was good and atmosphere was good. Serving staff and host were very friendly.

Highly impressed with the food all around. Service could have been more attentive. Refills sooner rather then having to get up & ask. Fish tacos could have gone without the coleslaw & pickled onions but I understand wanting to get color in the food.. Favorite dishes were the side of green been armadine & asparagus. Great 1st time & will be back for more.
