I thought I had already rated this fabulous deli. It was a treat, of course we were asked where we were from as they know everyone who lives there. And our sandwich maker, probably an owner said, first time guests get a free cookie. Homemade teas and lemonade, delightfully beautiful little town, amazing food and the smiles of the employees made us feel welcome and appreciated. You just can't be happier with a random stop like that. I wish I had taken photos of the food. It was our favorite place to eat on our two week trip! I'm sure anything you choose is going to be wonderful.
I've been passing through Danville for nearly 20 years and every time I passed by Melton's Deli, I either wasn't hungry or didn't think it was worth my time. Boy, was I wrong!!!
I finally stopped in, took one look at the menu board, and knew that Melton's and I were a perfect match. I had the reuben sandwich -- $5.99. Now, it might not be NYC or a famous Jewish deli kind of reuben, but it did not disappoint.
The service was super friendly, super fast, and the price was a super deal.
If you're in Danville and want something homespun, Melton's should be given a chance. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.
The baked potato salad and the pasta salad with kale, sundried tomatoes and pesto are both worth the trip alone- but the sandwiches are tasty and priced right as well. The shaved ham and French dips are both excellent. If you’re looking for a comfort food sandwich and side- can’t really go wrong here.
Good food and very friendly service. Very much enjoyed the Big Daddy Club and look forward to trying more soon.
This little deli has a wide selection of sandwiches, sides, drinks and desserts. It is a popular local place that has great service and consistently good foods.
This was my first time here and they were super friendly when I came in, explained the menu and recommendations. Sandwich was great, rye bread was awesome, horseradish sauce pulled it all together. Potato salad was delicious like my mom's and I got a free cookie for first time customer. Highly recommend.
Great sandwiches, TBS or the Big Momma Sub are my favorites. The service is also always fast!
I have heard for months now how good the sandwiches were here. Today I decided to stop in and check it out! Holy moly I should have stopped here sooner!!! I got the reuben as it's a classic and a solid sandwich. Their reuben was absolutely fantastic! Perfect ratio between meat, sauerkraut, and sauce! I also tried the bacon cheddar meatloaf sandwich 😱 Sweet baby jesus, that is a slam dunk of a comfort food you never had before 👍😎👍!!! I definitely 100% recommend coming here! Plus they give a free cookie to everyone who has never been here before! 10/10
