Where shall I begin, my fiance and I are new to the Danville Illinois area. This is our 1st time at Montana Mike. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile, was going to be a party of 9 🤗 we were seated quickly, wasn't busy today (Was a Tuesday) Lexi our hostess/waitress was Awesome from beginning to end. Was on top of our drinks and everything in between. The food was excellent and price was right. I can't wait to taste my chocolate cake (yum, yum). Thanks Lexi and Montana Mike for an Awesome experience 🤗🤗
Hands down one of THE best sirloin steaks I've ever eaten. Cooked medium rare to absolute perfection! Highly recommend the Apple wood bacon covered sirloin. The horseradish was a fantastic addition.
Service was good once I got some, took a few minutes but it didn't go unnoticed by other staff and one of the other waitresses outside of her section took care of me right away and was on top of it for the duration, fried zucchini was a little too mushy but the filet and mashed potatoes with brown gravy and mushrooms were really good.
Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. Reasoably priced and generous portions. Refills on beverages never ran dry. Steaks are good and prepared as instructed. Do recommend the Prime Rib-lacks taste (as of Dec 2019) Onion rings could use some seasoning (as of Dec 2019). Would visit again.
Food is good and if you want a big steak this place has them. Make sure it is cooked your way, sometimes they ain't. The inside and out of the building needs remodeling. Parking in the back it is easy to notice years of grease from their hood over their grill. It runs down the roof and wall of the building. Manager helps the staff, that's a good sign.
What a good dining experience. We could tell that our server, Brei, was new to the job right away. While there were a few errors along the way she was very kind and apologetic. What we did not see was the willingness of other servers to help. One was actually too busy talking to her friends that were dining. Food was standard. Nothing to brag about but not bad.
