Delicious. There are donuts and then there are donuts. Had a co-worker bring these in for a tasting, and a tasting we did. The donuts were soft, flavorful and extremely fresh. The texture did a delightful dance on my tongue as I indulged in the Maple Bacon and Huckleberry choices. Most donuts either fall on the dense side, oily, imitation flavored or just plain tasteless. Was pleasantly surprised to see such a wonderful flavor palette offered here. The bacon maple could have errored on the side of a bit more maple, but great nonetheless. Looking forward to trying more flavors very soon.
The best donuts in Orange County. Located on 17th and Orange in Costa Mesa. This is a great spot to get hand crafted treats. They offer seasonal flavors once a month and vegan options available too.
Also, they consistently set out samples for customers. Love getting to try. Definitely helps upselling their donuts

With creative flavors like Brown Butter Sage and innovative weekly specials such as their seasonal Vegan Pumpkin, Sidecar Donuts offers some of the most crave-worthy artisan donuts I’ve found outside of Austin’s famed Salty Donut. While the coffee couldn’t surpass my Texas favorite, Sidecar’s head-turning, happy looking donuts proved just as memorable in taste and texture variety from dense yeasted to feather-light cake donuts. My vegan pumpkin donut missing the mark failed to diminish the array of palate-pleasing indulgences calling my name from behind the bakery cases. Sidecar fires up novel ways to enjoy morning sugar and spice. This Costa Mesa gem truly inspires donut devotion.
Not that Sidecar needs another review but here I go ;P It's always a 5-star for me. Their donuts are yummy, their service is excellent...just be prepared to stand in line and sometimes you need to do a few loops if parking. They make a pretty good cup of coffee (for the Stumptown fans), but let's be honest...it's ALL about the donuts! Their gluten free and vegan options are my thing and they rarely disappoint. The vegan flavor changes monthly and the gluten free weekly (I think). If you're a local, you've already gone, I'm sure. If you're visiting, definitely pop by. The place already has icon status in my book <3

Sidecar Donuts in Costa Mesa is a pastry paradise! Their delectable creations are truly exceptional. From classic flavors to unique seasonal delights, every bite is pure bliss. First time trying sidecar and it was pretty good! Very cute store with somewhat of a line. We tried the cookie dough and bacon donuts they came out nice and warm. The bacon one was shockingly not that good considering I’ve never had a bad bacon donut from anywhere. Maybe because it was not that sugary. The cookie dough however was good. It was a cake donut with chocolate chips baked in and a blob of cookie dough right in the middle. They also had samples I tried the huckleberry it was very good.
On a 1-10 scale with Hot donuts off the line at Krispy Kreme being a 10, Sidecars gourmet doughnuts are about a 14. By far- the best Ive ever had. Plus there was speacialty Vegan, and gluten free, etc. I got some good pics, their donuts are next level awesome.
Your not getting jus a donut but a meal . The donuts were eye catching , great flavors , excellent staff (Sienra B was fantastic) . Long line but moved fast, they were baked and sold almost at the same time. The selection I got were Huckleberry gluten free, Saigon Cinnamon cake , Mayer Lemon, sugerfree Strawberry Bulleye. I also bought Vietnamese iced coffee. Price wise looking at $4.50 per donut average .

Such yummy donuts and great coffee to go along with them. Multiple flavours of donuts to please everyone and a cool experience of seeing the employees make them. More of a to-go place, only a few tables outside. No seating inside.
Delicious donuts! The coffee tasted good too. The staff was friendly and helpful with claiming a free drink and donut for downloading the app. Excited to go back and try other donuts varieties.
