Loved the atmosphere...original brick is beautiful. Loved that there was a fire burning on the patio. It was a beautiful welcome and even though a little cold to sit and enjoy it we paused and soaked up a bit of warmth on our exit. We were seated in the narrow bar area which was warm and cozy. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, explaining dishes and techniques used. She recommended a deliciously smoky mezcal margarita which started my meal off great. We chose the brussel sprouts as our starter and had the octopus, the pork belly and the chicken tamale as well as the street corn salad. All were fresh, delicious and creative. The octopus was tender, not at all chewy like others we have had. The street corn salad is something I could eat the rest of my life. So delicious. Sprouts were cooked perfectly and covered in fabulous queso chihuahua. I ended up taking my tamale home but hours later reheated it made a great midnight snack. All in all this restaurant is a gem.
I've been here three times now and love it so much! The staff has been great every time and I can't even tell you how great the food is! The prices are just right for food that is thoughtfully placed on the menu and made with quality ingredients. My husband and I took some good friends there last night, one of which is gluten free, vegan and has crazy allergies. She loved it and had many options plus, the waiter/manager was more than helpful with menu knowledge. I think this may be my favorite restaurant.
Great patio, good food and interesting drinks, though I don’t recommend the seasonal watermelon shrub cocktail. The margaritas are good and if you have the chance try the charcoal cocktail. Might be the only place in Columbus with decent tacos and good service.
Friendly service, delicious salsa ($5 for red and green). We had the cauli app and it was great. We also had the carnitas and barbacoa tacos. We were very disappointed in the huge chunk of fat in the carnitas given the small portion of meat.
Delicious
meal. Salsas had a lot of flaver. The dessert do units were the best. However, I did not like the taste of the dips that accompanied it. Service was friendly and helpful. I would dine here again.
Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, nice patio, amazing cuisine. Highly highly recommend the interesting sweet potato, the pork belly was nice as well. Best selection of mezcal I've seen in the city by far and I love the way they prepare and serve it.
Open and airy seating area with a bar welcoming you in to the establishment. The atmosphere creates a warm feeling and the staff is knowledgeable to help you navigate a menu of food and drink options for a picky palette. Not a place kids; great for parties! Definitely check this place out for a nice meal with friends.
An adorable, rustic place! Amazing food and margaritas. We ended up going there twice in one day! TIP: If you have a large group, be sure to make reservation (even for happy hour).
UPDATE: I have now been to Cosecha Cocina several times. Each time the food and service has been phenomenal. I am upping my review to 5 stars!
Best salsa in town! My wife and I went for happy hour and we were really impressed. The server mentioned that their Avocado Tomatillo Salsa was featured on Food Network as one of the best, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I would go back just for chips and salsa alone! I ordered the Spicy Yuma Tostada, chorizo tostada, along with Esquites, Mexican street corn, and both were excellent. My wife had a Chicken and Salsa Verde Tamale along with a Carne Molida, beef, taco. She loved the tamale, but thought the taco was too spicy. The traditional margarita was on par, but I think their showstopper is the Oaxacan Oldie, an old fashioned, but made with mezcal. It was incredible!
I'm skeptical about Mexican restaurants in Columbus, but this one surprised me. I loved their fried fish tacos. Whoever their cook is, they need to keep them! I'll be returning hopefully in the evening since I frequent this place on my lunch break.
Food was great. Service was not. We were traded off to a new person who walked by us a ton but never checked on us.
This place has a great feel to it. We loved both the cocktails and food. Charred Octopus was on point as well as the OG margarita. Wait staff was focused an attentive. We will be back!
