Yakitori 4

Yummy Yaki is an awesome place to eat. The price is affordable. Love the service and staff. The new waitress is awesome, her name is Suki. She is friendly(you rock!!!!!!!!) Recommend this restaurant #1.

Try it out at least once. A coworker and I went to lunch at Yummi Yakitori the other day because we had enough time to find a place that was close to Fort Carson. In the mood for something Asian, I swung into this place. On the inside, we were greeted by two young and helpful girls who let us pick our seats. The dining room is divided into three distinct areas to choose from, so we picked the most well lit area.

The menus laid down in front of us (as well as some sort of wonton soup) were extremely minimal. Mainly every dish they serve is Yakitori with something else. The yakitori part is two skewers of chicken with a scoop of white rice and the soy sauce/sugar/etc sauce they put on it. We both chose the Yakitori and Seafood plates.

Although the yakitori was well made and flavorful, the seafood part left us scratching our heads. It was basically "Long John Silvers" type breaded and fried food that included scallops, butterfly shrimp and pieces of white fish. It also came with an average amount of onion rings. I don't mind fried food, but for some reason, every single item that was fried lacked any kind of taste and actually tasted like there was no salt added. Fried food and salt is bad for you, I get that, but fried food needs salt to taste good, and this didn't. Thankfully, we got a selection of mustard sauce, sweet and sour sauce and tartar sauce to dip them in and that saved it for the most part.

The oddest, yet most surprising item on the dish was a coleslaw that was like bare, dry cabbage (some thick cut, some no larger than sprouts) with whatever their coleslaw sauce was on the top. Even my coworker who doesn't care much for coleslaw enjoyed hers.

But in the end, the price was right ($20.xx) and the restaurant seemed clean and respectable, but I don't know if I'd come back. I'd like to search for a place that gives you a little bit larger selection and focuses on items that compliment their main dish better.

I love this little diner on South Nevada. The customer service is superb. The wait staff is always friendly and happy to see me. The chef prepares very tasty food and at a really reasonable price. Remember, it's a small diner and not a gourmet restaurant and with that you can relax in an authentic atmosphere and enjoy great food.

When I'm in Colorado Springs this is a must visit. The "Lonnie special" is great! I don't normally ever eat cole slaw, but whatever they do to theirs it's great. Service is always good and friendly.

The food is always so good, nice and hot and fresh. The service is kind of crappy and very slow. But I continue to go so it's not too bad. If it wasn't so slow I would give it 5 stars

This place is absolutely awesome! For 6.25 out the door, you get a very tasty lunch that will fill you up. And on top of that, they are always extremely friendly! I definitely recomend Yakitori to anyone in the springs, again and again.

Hands down best yakatori in Colorado Springs!!! Great food, super clean!!! Best soup, gyoza, egg rolls, rice ,onion rings, salad, and grilled yakatori. If you're going to the other yakatori's then you owe it to yourself to get to Yakatori 4!!!
