One of the best Mexican restaurants I've had in the Springs area. The appetizer was amazing and the alambre hawiaiino with pineapples was mouthwatering.
Staff was also very friendly
Delicious Mexican restaurant with great flavored margaritas. We enjoyed the sampler platter under appetizers. The chips and salsa are really great.
We had to wait in the lobby as there was zero staff around to seat us. A waiter came up and sat us and we were greeted promptly.
HUGE PORTIONS on HUGE PLATES
My husband and some friends of mine stopped here for lunch when they first opened. The place is in a great location and it was quiet. Our servers were very friendly. The decor inside was nice and colorful. I ordered a tamale and enchilada dish and my husband ordered chili relenos. Chips were fresh and came with a medium spice salsa and bean dip. The reason I gave this a 4 star was because of the flies. So many flies at our table. They kept sitting on our food, drink straws, and everywhere.
Besides the flies, the food was decent and restaurant nice. I recommend Pueblo Viejo Mexican Restaurant.
Great place to have some real Mexican dishes. We loved the authenticity of the food and a lot of choices to try. Will return to try out certain foods that I have never tried before. The wait staff was prompt and courteous.
Perfection! Extensive menu, attentive service, and beautiful setting. The first things I noticed were the cleanliness and ambience. Next was the friendliness of the staff. There's a lot of food and drinks to choose from. My Negra Modelo on draft was nice and cold. The menudo was the best with tender tripe, hominy, and all the fixings. I hope it's this good every time.
Hadn't had such yummy, greasy Mexican cuisine in a long time. Tried a couple of different margaritas and might have to go back to try the others (there's about six or more on the menu) to see which is my favorite. The skinny one had a weird Squirt-flavor aftertaste but was a big pour that came in a cool shaker. When you go, go hungry! Made the mistake of ordering the queso fundido AND a "small" dinner plate (news alert: it was NOT small). Hubby had the molcajete and took about ten pounds of leftovers home. Kidding, but it was substantial! Great, friendly service and nice atmosphere.
Top-notch across the board! Our server was helpful and knowledgeable, but more than that he did a wonderful job of making us FEEL welcomed. The food was fresh...I mean it not only looked fresh, but tasted fresh. That means someone is taking time to pick out the best ingredients for our dinner, and then cooking it fresh and hot with the perfect seasonings. Not surprisingly, even the chips served when we sat down were nice and fresh. I have to say we thought the salsa was too spicy, but we're not accustomed to heavy/hot spices. Nevertheless, the did also bring a bowl of refried beans which were a perfect compliment to the salsa and gave the option for those like us who prefer something less spicy. The guacamole wasn't jacked up with tons of jalapeno (making it too spicy for us). I will admit that the guacamole came with two chips inserted into the top for decoration, and they evidently had been in there a while because they were a little soggy where the chip had been in contact too long with the guacamole, BUT the guac itself was tasty and fresh.
The atmosphere was perfect for us. Nicely decorated, clean, with some background music which wasn't being played to blast out our eardrums! We like to have a conversation when we go out to eat, but often the noise from other clients or the music interferes with that desired option. I even noticed that they did a great job of spacing people out so that there was usually a table between places where people sat so you could enjoy some privacy. Finally, the food was well-priced. It wasn't super-cheap, and also not super-expensive. These people KNOW what they're doing, and have a good clientele because Price/Quality/Service/Atmosphere were all very well balanced.
Probably why they've been in business so long. I told our waiter how much we liked the food, and that we would DEFINITELY be back for more. This will now be our go-to place to eat for Mexican food, and I highly recommend you give them a try.
Great food. Great service great atmosphere. Only thing that didn't make any sense, they only honor one veteran per table. A friend and I, both retired vets, met there to eat. Simply because we were at the same table the waitress said only one of us could receive a veterans discount. Don't get me wrong it is great they offer one veterans discount....however we are both vets and only one of us gets it? The waitress might as well say the veteran's time served doesn't matter. They are better off not offering it in that situation. It's just awkward.
Nothing to brag about, tastes ok.
