Es ist gut. Schnitzel Fritz is co-owned with Elke's Deli in Fountain. After trying Elke's, I knew I had to go see what Schnitzel Fritz was like.
Well, to be honest, they're extremely similar. Schnitzel Fritz has a larger menu and actual indoor seating, but both still have huge display cases of meats and cheeses as well various German candies & packaged foods.
I was only getting a lunch to go, so I didn't order everything I wanted to. I ended up getting a Weisswurst with fried potatoes. All of which were excellent when I came home. The weisswurst was excellent with a very mild flavor that was spiced well. The potatoes were great, they were crispy on the outside and had fried onions even mixed in. The tiny tomato and couple of strips of lettuce on the outside were puzzling as I didn't know if it was meant to be a salad or if it was just garnish.
I really want to try more German food from this place...and I wish that they had some baked goods to purchase here as well!
We just love this place. The food is authentic and the staff is very professional. We always go for the daily specials. The prices are better than the other German places in town. They now have their own German Baker. Yummie Cakes, Breads and Rolls. Fresh daily!!!

Good German Food. It was good food I would admit. Very different from your typical German restaurant. The owner was extremely nice. She was on the phone with us giving us directions while we were lost. Very small place but the food was great. I enjoyed my jalapeno schnitzel!

Being German, I feel very competent to judge good German food - and this restaurant is definitely IT. Had the Schnitzel sandwich with potato salad and loved every bite. Staff is super, and we are looking forward to our next visit.
It's German, it's authentic, the service is excellent, the food is spot-on and it's a place I can practice my German! Sehr gut!!!
We loved it!. Very authentic German deli and restaurant. I enjoyed a white brat with sweet mustard the likes of which I haven't had since I was in Munich. The red cabbage and fried potatoes were excellent as well. They also have a regionally adapted jalapeno schnitzel that packs flavor and quite a spicy punch. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices are very good. I will definitely go again.
After living in Germany for 3 years we have been searching for good German food and the Eidelwiess doesn't cut it. Fritz is very casual but very good.
Has to be the Best in the Springs. Excellent. Food is very tasty and fresh closest thing to German food I have tasted in a long time.

The real German Taste. Been to all German Restaurants in CSPGS, but this is the best. Tender Schnitzel with delicious sauces, red cabbage and fried potatoes as well as the daily specials are a must for everyone who loves German Food and German atmosphere.
What a cool spot! German bakery, grocery store with lots of imported options, and amazing family restaurant. The Jaeger schnitzel, spaetzle, and fries which I tried were all crazy good (best authentic that I've had in a while, and blows other places here out of the water) Everyone should come give this place a try! Everything was clearly handmade including their desserts, didn't try any THIS time though but they looked amazing!
The food was pretty good. The Schnitzel we're made fresh and nice and hot, the fries were delicious. The spätzel were just ok, they had a normal gravy on top.
I give 4 stars only because the lady who took the order was not that nice, and the whole atmosphere made us feel like we weren't welcome.
The prices are fair because it was pretty close to what we got in Germany. We would eat here again.
Lovely little restaurant!! This place is a legit spot to get traditional German food. Everything we had was delicious and made from scratch. Staff were so nice, wonderful service. I loved that you could purchase food to take home to cook, we had to grab sausage and spatzel to make at home. They also have a deli and slices of cakes so of course we had to get a slice of the hazelnut cake to go.
I wanna give it a 5/5 because the place was cool, smelled delicious and the employees were very nice especially whoever had the blue hair. However the Schnitzel could’ve used some seasoning or some type of hot sauce to boost it. The pickles and everything else was pretty nasty and fresh though.
Really solid German food! I had the knackwurst with red cabbage and the potato dumplings and it was all very tasty. I didn't like the cheesecake as much, it felt a little bland to me and not as sweet as I had hoped. Overall though, I very much enjoyed my meal and recommend stopping by for some great German food!

Another stop on the culinary tour, my real estate crew enjoyed an amazing trip to Schnitzel Fritz! I have heard of this restaurant often. As soon as people learn that I am going to try every restaurant in the city, many are curious if I have been to Schnitzel Fritz yet. I am so glad that I can now say that I have been - and it was so worth it!
The entrance of the restaurant is lined with grocer's shelves, filled to the brim with European delights. Candies, ingredients, and pantry staples circle the room. The menu contains all the fare one would expect at a German restaurant - schnitzel with various toppings, bratwurst, spatzlë, and Reubens. What sets Schnitzel Fritz apart is how well they prepare these traditional dishes.
What started as a meal amongst coworkers quickly evolved into a family style meal amongst friends, with passing of plates, insisting that everyone try the delectable dish each person had ordered. Perfectly seasoned, each dish was prepared to order. The schnitzel, thin breaded cutlets of pork that are pan fried, was hot and crispy, yet tender. The spatzlë is a delicate cross of egg noodle and dumpling, boiled to al dente and barely crisped in a little browned butter. I could have made an entire meal of the spatzlë alone - perhaps I will come back myself to do exactly that. The sauerkraut had the perfect amount of acidic zing, and perfectly complemented the surprisingly tender corned beef. We didn't just love the food, we were gushing and raving about each bite.
The setting was humble, with paper plates and checkered table cloths. That said, the food didn't require pomp and circumstance. It was so good that my mouth is watering at the memory.
I returned to the counter to purchase some European candies and share my compliments with the owners. They grinned ear to ear and let me know that they appreciated it. I could tell how proud they were of their culinary heritage and they have every right to be - I was honored to have partaken.
Amazing schnitzel! On a whim, we decided to go here and I am so happy we did. The food was phenomenal - the best schnitzel I’ve ever had. I also enjoyed the Black Forest cake for desert. A great meal and friendly service. We’ll definitely be back!
This is 100 percent authentic. The owners are all about the customer service. They don’t cut any corner and give generous portions. They even have a full range of German grocery items to complete any meal in the most authentic German fashion. My wife, son, and I love this restaurant and will definitely come here again. This is some of the best German food we had since being in Germany.
Cute little German Restaurant....loved the food and company. Lots of German groceries to buy. Highly Recommend...There is no Alcohol for sale but you can take your food home.
This was my first time eating here! They were so patient with me in ordering and letting me know what things are and how to order! I got the schnitzel with cheese gravy and Spatzle. Oh my goodness it was so so good! Thank you for an amazing experience!
