Great food. It was clear that the soup dumplings are handmade along with the dough. Spicy beef noodle Soup was fantastic- I can’t believe how tender the beef was. Highly recommend.

My family visit to LJ Shanghai was amazing! This restaurant is not your typical Chinese restaurant. LJ Shanghai is located in Cleveland's Asiatown neighborhood about 12 minutes east from Downtown Cleveland. Their menu offers a different style of Chinese food that is interesting. My family and I ordered the Shanghai fried noodle dish and the Chongqing spicy noodle soup and they were delicious! The soup dumplings are a must order for any occasion! We had to order the soup dumplings 2x because they were so good! Our dine in experience was very welcoming and relaxing. The service was great as well.

Most unique Chinese food experience I’ve ever had. The spicy pig ears were a spicy crunchy and numbing appetizer. The udon noodles were sweet and salty with a great smokey wok flavor. The spicy pig intestine soup is a rare treat! Looking forward to trying some other menu items when I return.

This may be my favorite food in Cleveland! Everyone is nice, calm, cozy atmosphere, and amazing menu! I got the pork belly soup and soup dumplings and they were both amazing, flavorful, filling, and a great value. I will be back often!

We were visiting Cleveland and the reviews for this place caught my eye. Great Shanghainese based Chinese food. Flavorful and authentic. The only different about this place compared to the more authentic stuff you would get in China is the doughy skin used for their wontons and steamed pork buns. They tend to use a thicker skin wrap but otherwise tastes great. Restaurant located along Superior Ave so free street parking for 1 hour. Quick service. All credit cards accepted (charge $2 fee to use AMEX). Reasonably priced.

Glass noodles with beef, pepper and Chinese spices are main ingredient. Simple and delicious. This is real Chinese dishes. Not PF Chang stuff. Beef is tender and juicy. Authentic food and 5 stars. Dumplings are great. Everything is Freshly made.

Awesome little hidden gem. Every dish we tried was amazing, it's definitely on the spicier side. Service was great, the ambience was nice. We had a short wait of 10 mins before getting our table. Definitely worth trying the Meatballs, the spicy Wonton. Will be back again, we couldn't get to try the chicken because it was sold out!

Absolutely wonderful, authentic food. We had never had a truly authentic Chinese food experience like this and it was something we talk about to all of our friends. The restaurant is not very large, but it is ample enough space. We were helped with understanding the menu and were provided recommendations and were not steered incorrectly! The soup dumplings were something out of this world. When you pop them in your mouth, they melted with a surprise burst of soup. Simply delightful. I was sad when they were gone. The sweet and sour ribs were tasty. Fell off the bones and were so tender and flavorful. We also had the edamame and they were crispy. The pan fried noodles were delicious. The wonton soup was amazing and flavorful too! I am not good at using chopsticks, but it was fun to try and felt more authentic. Our service was great. Everyone was very nice and our glasses were never empty. Can’t wait to return!

This is an overdue review of one my favorite restaurants in all of Cleveland. Everything is always so good here. Love the soup dumplings! They are so good we always end up ordering more. The flat noodle and scallion noodle are also amazing. LJ the owner is such an awesome human and always a great conversation with her. If you’re in Cleveland for only one day and want an authentic delicious meal, this is your spot!
