Good, solid food with an amazing view and atmosphere. We got the Bread & Butter and Coconut Shrimp to start, and the Shrimp Roll, Chicken Tinga Tacos, and Brisket Dip for our mains. As a birthday treat, our waitress let us pick out two desserts of which we chose the Key Lime Pie and Apple Pie. I would recommend all of the food we ordered, however, the Shrimp Roll and Brisket Dip were especially delicious. The inside of the restaurant is spacious and inviting, while the patio provides an amazing view of the lake and downtown. I would definitely come back to The Lakefront!
The food was delicious and so were the drinks! We sat outside, which was perfect! The view of the lake and downtown skyline was really nice. I highly recommend checking this place out!

The location and the view from this restaurant is a great reason to visit the place apart from their food and drink options. The staffs are friendly. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available.
Ordered : cheese board (3.5/5) , annatto cauliflower tacos (3.5/5) , elote corn (3.5/5) , Tortilla with salsa (2.5/5) and Guajjilo chicken salad (4/5) and couple of cocktails (both 3.5/5).
It is recommended to make reservations ahead of time to get a table.
Had a great experience at The Lakefront Restaurant. The views were BEAUTIFUL (even on a windy, cold Chicago day), the staff was all super friendly, and the food/drinks were delicious. They also accommodated my vegan diet quite nicely, including amazing cauliflower tacos and vegan scoops of Jeni’s ice cream!! Will definitely be back, especially in the warmer summer months.
Why wouldn’t you want great food, friendly and fast service, all while sitting in a great lakefront outside dining patio? The Lakefront Restaurant is uniquely set amount one of the best sites on Chicago’s lakefront trail. Views are wonderful. People are friendly. Food is great. This is Chicago at its best!
The staff service was exquisite. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for a nice dinner. We will definitely come back to this restaurant when we visit Chicago again!
Love their Old Fashion and appetizers. The outdoor sitting during spring and summer is great. The view of downtown and the lake is awesome.

My wife and I have been coming to Lakefront Restaurant since it opened prior to the pandemic (2019) and it continues to deliver delicious American fare with style and wonderful service.
Standout favorites include the grilled cheese and tomato bisque, brisket dip (so good!), cheeseburger, and fish & chips. Excellent choice of beers and wines populate the bar menu.
Tonight I tried for the first time the poblano beef stew--it is so delicious! Short rib beef is braised to a wonderful smoky flavor, along with carrots, potatoes and pearl onions. The stew is served alongside poblano seasoned rice. A treat for the tastebuds! Fantastic key lime pie rounded out the meal.
