This is an excellent seafood spot! I opted to get a whole Dungeness crab with butter... fresh, clean, perfect. I had a second course with a fish taco a la carte... absolutely amazing! Highly recommended. Staff was friendly and the place was fun and clean.
Best crabshack ever! The atmosphere is very authentic and local. Service and friendliness was off the charts. We had the crabcakes and fish tacos. Both were soooooo good. The crabcakes even came with 3 sides. One was cheesy bread to our surprise. If I lived here it would be my go to spot. It must have been caught the same day.
I would certainly recommend this place. The service was good, and the food was as well. We ordered clam chowder, oyster basket, and 1/2 crab. The crab was well-cooked and tasted good. The clam chowder could've used more meat, but was tasty as well. The oyster basket was great. I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw, but the baked beans were good. The cheesy garlic bread was possibly the best part of a great meal. I have never tasted garlic bread that good.
Wonderful place! All the fish is caught by the owner and oh my is he such a nice guy. Loves what he does and is so proud of it. If you go there you have to talk to him, I promise you won't regret it! The food is delicious, fresh, and looks amazing. You have to try the cheesy garlic bread! Its so good we almost turned around to ask how he makes is.
So we went here kind of last minute and had such a great experience. Fish tacos, awesome. Tried a piece of crab cake, fabulous. Chowder, so good. Coleslaw, which normally I hate, shockingly addictive. The service was friendly and warm. Could be a new favorite coastal eat.
Excellent crab cakes. Food is pan fried, not deep fried (bonus!). Jack catches the tuna, so the tuna melt is yummy. Casual atmosphere (order at counter), so easy to stop by for a bite while on the road. Fresh fish tacos, right from the case. From the boat to you is true, here. Simple menu, no deep fried fish-n-chips.
Service was slow for getting our food, but OMG the fish was amazing!!! The fresh lingcod was probably caught that morning and what a difference! Soooooo good! And I'm picky and I'm used to seafood every week as I live in Seattle. What a great surprise. The rest of the accompaniments were low quality but I didn't care because the fish was so awesome.
We ate the fish tacos, crab cakes and tuna melt. Portio s were generous and everything tasted fresh. Next time I would skip the tacos because I like mine more spicy. The fish in them was tasty thougn. I chose my tuna melt on sourdough and it was fresh and delish. The chowder was super creamy with the perfect balance of potatoes and clams. The crab cakes were big and mainly crab with some red bell pepper for flavor. They give you side of beans and amazing cheesy toast.
Got the Dungeness crab plate, and a tuna melt with chowder. Everything was incredibly tasty and everything is made fresh. The staff were also very friendly. Will definitely go again next time we're in the area.
A good little seafood shack. They have several options, but I have only eaten the clam chowder, which was tasty and thick. You can add garlic bread or cheesy bread (I did one of each) while the garlic bread is decent, the cheesy bread is delicious.
