Love them best ethnic food around. You'll feel alive after eating here
This was like home cooking if your Momma was Mexican. It seems to serve the local Mexican community. Everything was well worn, but clean. English was not the first or second language, but everyone was friendly to me. I would go back.
Great food at a good price. Yes, my waitress primarily spoke Spanish, but I was able to order and pay just fine. I'm definitely going back.
Loved the food. We went there for the Pozole and were not disappointed, very good.
Great food, Jamaica water was good and refreshing. I didn't pay for anything because I know a guy that knows another guy that knows my friends uncle. Waiting for the food is usually 20 mins. A young African American lady would like to try a deep fried Gordita.
Best authentic Mexican in the CHS region, and cheap AF. Sopes are corn fried platters of amazing. Burritos are almost 2lbs for $7. Juice is fresh squeezed from honeydew, nance, etc, and served in half pitchers with a straw. No menu and no English, so have an idea of what you want going in and a couple back ups in case they are out. Downsides are no pupusas, no tortilla chips, and no tamales, but still the best Mexican food I've found anywhere near the peninsula and worth the travel time. Staff is super nice despite knowing minimal or no English, they'll work with you patiently and smile! Sopes de cabeza is probably my favorite meal, so much beefy corny flavor, wow. Tacos and tortas are great. Seafood soup is overflowing with whole crabs. Haven't had anything bad yet! So be adventurous. The red and green sauces they make in house are amazing. Red is spicy smoked chili and green is less spicy, cilantro dominant. I'm always the only white person in there and always feel welcome. Awesome place!
Great grilled pork chop plate with fruit water served in a minurature pitcher, which was the most memorable part. Grea atmosphere for experiencing the local Hispanic community, TVs in Spanish and local hangout after a hard day of labor. The staff speaks basic English.
Great food and friendly but shy service. The tangerine flavored water, tacos de asada, and sopa de asada were outstanding. The Pancho Villa portrait on the wall greeted us as we sat at our table.
Food is unpretentious but delicious.
This place although it doesn't have a menu, they have everything u can eat at a typical mexican restaurant. Home made tortillas and the food and service was great!! Definitely come back when in town
having lived in LA and growing up in Medillin and Mexico City, this food was.... fantastic- real bill of fare- fresh (didn't have everything on the menu), but what they had was sooo good- I have been to a number of taquerias, panaderias, trucks and wotnot and this was by far the best tasting food I have tasted- The owners daughters or granddaughters can help you with the translation- it is worth it- no greasy residue, worth its' weight in gold...it is a definite diversion into a good dining experience- remember to ask!
