Really cute ice cream shop. They even offer a flight of ice cream - 4 flavors. They offer regular ice cream and vegan ice cream. We got regular- very creamy. We also offered a root beer float

One of the first things we do when we visit a city is research Restaurants, Coffee, and Ice Cream. I have tried Ice Cream all over the country at many of the most famous Ice Cream shops, and I’ve had some incredible Ice Cream! I can say unequivocally that Off Track is the best ice cream I’ve had in my life in any city I’ve ever visited!
We visited on the first day of our trip and ended up there multiple days in a row, and have no regrets about it! Every single flavor we tried was so great on the palate, the bases were inventive with their tasting notes, and the ingredients were top notch. The quality of the cream was insane, you could feel the fat content of the dairy on the spoon as you ate it, it lingers on your taste buds. If I ever visit Charleston again I will be here every single day of my trip.
The service was incredible as well, they were kindly giving samples of every flavor and describing each one in detail. The building itself was cool as well, very historical feeling but nice and clean.
If you’re looking for a good ice cream shop in town search no further, go here as soon as you can in case you want to go every day like we did!
Ingredients are locally sourced, and the ice creams were all delicious! My favourite was definitely the cookies and cream - they mix the Oreo bits twice, once in the ice cream base itself, and also got chunks through it. The vanilla was amazing as well. You can see the bits / dots of vanilla through it. The chocolate wasn’t too sweet. Espresso was good. They do all their basic flavors extremely well. Tried a few of their funkier ones too.
Off Track Ice Cream is one of the best places in Charleston! It is right off of King Street, so make sure you don't miss it. The ice cream is fresh and made with premium ingredients, and the flavor choices are spot on. If you are in Downtown Charleston, check it out!!
So many ice cream places to choose from here. This one was close to the hotel and had a good rating. It was very good with several flavors to choose from. I got the hot fudge sundae, which was good, and I would get it again. However, I would recommend getting the four flavor flight that I saw available after I got the sundae. I would have liked trying four flavors.
Wow! best vegan ice cream ever! I sampled a few and loved them so much I got a flight of flavors. The employees were so so kind and nice too! Highly recommend, also way better and less crowded than Jeni's ice cream.
Nothing makes our day better than grabbing a scoop before leaving "the city". The non-dairy options here were impressive! I am always on the look out for great texture and flavor options without the cream. We will definitely be back! Really cute space and right off King. I haven't had a milk alternative shake in so long, it was absolutely delightful. Definitely a must if you need a yummy option for everyone.
You know I love a good ice cream shop and this one fits the bill perfectly. Tucked away on a side street off the main shopping thoroughfare off track is like a breath of comfort. Cute interior with restrooms and a good amount of seating and a cute pink counter. They put the menu on the far wall so it's a little hard to read (and not super accessible). They don't have a billion flavors but what they have is solid and covers the usual plus about half are vegan which is awesome. Oddly they charge the same price for a sugar cone as a waffle cone (the fact that they charge at all for what is usually free is odd) so I went with the waffle. They let you sample which is great and the scoops are generous. Still it was $10 with tax... So you better like it!! And I did!!! Would come back for their key lime pie any day.
If you are looking for ice cream in downtown Charleston, this should be on your list! The ice cream itself was good (I got the cinnamon cookie butter), but the house made waffle cone was amazing! I definitely recommend getting the waffle cone with whatever flavor you choose.
I’ve been going here for a while any time I’m in Charleston! Right off of king and never much of a wait or line. I love getting my dairy free (vegan) ice creams knowing I can eat a sweet treat without the stomach ache! Their portions are massive, normally one scoop is perfect but today I was feeling bold and tried 2 and it was too much to finish! You definitely get your moneys worth and the waffle cones are so good. The shop itself is super cute and great for pics. Highly suggest giving this a try over Jeni’s if you’re undecided!
