We enjoyed this experience! Ran across this as a place to try located on King Street so we went. I got the Shrimp po boy with fries, my husband had Red fish with cheese grits. Everything was delicious especially those hush puppies with honey butter. You Oder and Pay the sit with sign food comes out hot and you can tell it was fresh seafood. Definitely will come back.!
This is an ideal place to stop at for oysters and other seafood. The friendly hostess takes your order, you pick where you want to sit-inside or out-. Then the staff brings your order. Fun and great place with friends

Shrimp po boy and fries
You order at the front and they bring the food to you. So it’s not totally full table service, but they did come by and ask how things were.
Oysters were good, from James River. Wish they were flipped before they came out- ended up scraping off the abductor after (tasty) served with cocktail sauce and lemon wedge. Yummy!!
Po boy was out of this world- spicy sauce, generous amount of shrimp. However it’s served on a hotdog roll. Not my personal fave, but won’t hold it against them.
Fries were perfect- crispy outside and soft inside.
I sat outside on the patio and it was so lovely. Lots of shade as well.
I highly recommend. Worth the visit as well- if you can find parking.
Nice little place for shrimp po boy or a basket... food was good and prepared quickly even at lunchtime. Portions could have been bigger for the price, but everything is jacked up price wise anymore... staff was friendly and helpful...

I like Aw Shucks. It wouldn't be my first choice but it is still very good for what it is. If you need a quick bite you could do worse. I got a chicken sandwich with boom boom sauce and it was good though a bit dry. I would still recommend the sandwich I just probably got a bad one. The hush puppies are very good. They're kind more like donut holes, they come with honey butter. Very tasty 😋
Great food, pet friendly and reasonable prices. The raw oysters were great. Clean and not gritty like you can typically find them at restaurants. Highly recommended anyone traveling through Charleston to stop in and get something to eat!
Indoor and outdoor seating. Quick and tasty food. Good for on the go. Ahi Tuna bowl was very good. Nice size and flavored well. Shrimp tacos were nicely flavored and good sized. The calamari was flavorful. Not a huge portion but it hit the spot.
The food was delicious! My husband and I shared an order of the hush puppies, which are sweet, so if you do not like sweet, I would pass on these. We loved them. I got the shrimp po boy with fries, which was a great sandwich! My husband got the coconut shrimp with fries, which he loved. The only downfall I would say is that those 3 items cost us almost $50. It was great food just a tad pricey.

I am a big fan of shrimp and grits, having been born and raised in the South. I ordered here and it was amazing. The flavors are perfect. This is a must if you are also a fan of shrimp and grits! We enjoyed the outdoor dining with our small dog. The staff were really friendly!
