The food was delicious and exactly what we were looking for when we went to Charleston and wanted to eat something authentic. Prices were fair and service was great! Would definitely eat here again.
Very nice restaurant. Great Service and nice view and decorations. Salad , Crab cake and Fried Flounder were perfect.
Thank you so much!
Great job!
Keep up the good work.

There were a huge group of Seniors traveling thru this town and we ate dinner here. We all ate the crab hushpuppies which were super big and so delicious. I also had the crab cakes with a salad while my husband had the broiled shrimp & flounder platter with a baked potato. When he got his plate, he discovered that he had red rice under his meal so he had two starches. The key lime pie was tart and creamy and great!
The service is great. Everyone is nice and welcoming, also the food is outstanding! I recommend the calamari, bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp and the alaskan snow crab and king crab are always great! Definitely going back!
Outstanding service and food. Had party of 8 and all enjoyed everything . I had the Soft Shell and it was the best. Dustin , our server, was the best. Can not say enough about him.
The food and service was great. We all loved our meal. It was fast service, great meal, and awesome food. We will be back. Thank you for a great dinner. You have got to try it. You will love it. James Island, SC.
My family and I had a great experience at the Charleston crab house. The view was great and the food was great too. We left stuffed and satisfied.
Food is not bad. Not terrible but not fantastic either. It is decent for seafood. Better than most around. Good seafood is hard to find... You can't beat the atmosphere. My 4 yr old daughter loves watching for dolphins and walking on the dock. For that alone it is worth it.
See my other reviews for good seafood.
This place was outstanding!!! The Deviled Crab was terrific.
Charleston Crab House-Jamestown. My BF and I decided to end our weekend in Charleston at the Charleston Crab House on James Island and what a great idea it was! We had waterfront dining, which was gorgeous and peaceful. For appetizers we decided to go with the shrimp stuffed with crab and wrapped in bacon.....the most amazing shrimp I've ever had!!! The combination of the flavors were absolutely amazing. We also got the coconut shrimp...these were good, but hands down the stuffed shrimp were waaaay better! For our entree, we got the Charleston Crab House Crab pot which came with mussels, crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potato, and corn. The shrimp, crab legs, and mussels were SO FRESH! The taste was amazing and the garlic/butter/onion steam infused flavor was excellent as well!! My BF decided to get the fried oysters on the side (I'm not a big fan of oysters but these were pretty good!) Overall, the next time I am in Charleston I will def go back to this place. The food was great and I was not disappointed at all!! I recommend this place 100%!
Beautiful and unique local view of the Wappoo bridge and marshlands with casual seafood. The captain's platter was delicious. I have been going here for years because I love the view, relaxed feel and fried seafood. The kids enjoyed the fried shrimp too.
I’ve really enjoyed the food. We went there during the weekend and it was very crowded. However, we got a table beside the river and it was very nice.
The waitress was very smart. She noticed that I am a Muslim and she asked to change the rice as a side dish to mashed potatoes, because it had a bacon (pork)
The filet was great. Seafood was good. The lacking stars is due to no Mashed Potatoes or even a baked potato to go with the filet. No reduction on pricing when I had to get French Fries in place of it. Better ordering and planning to offer what's on the menu would rate you more stars.
The service and the food is amazing! Our waiter was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was good as usual, we often visit this location or the location on Market street. The seating here is better in my opinion especially if you want to sit and have a somewhat “water” view. Overall it was a great dinner out with family.
Wonderful fresh seafood for Lisa and I while the kids had a burger and chicken strips, I believe. After having a half dozen 🦪 oysters at Snapper Jacks on our first night on the coast...I decided to go all out and ordered a dozen oysters and washed them down with a pound of fresh shrimp 🦐. They were phenomenal. Crisp shrimp that pop in your mouth, so crisp, then juicy. Lisa had the crab and shrimp boil and loved it as much as I loved mine. We all shared an appetizer of fries okra which rocked! We also liked the plastic bucket in the middle of the table where you can throw your shells. Clever and useful gimmick you don't see very often back home in Wisconsin.
We went for a late lunch and were seated immediately. The service was very fast and our server was attentive. The she-crab soup was decent… very little crab. Our server brought us extra sherry and that helped the flavor. My husband got boiled shrimp and thought they were good.

It was a great lunch with my father. He had the Lowcountry Shrimp Boil, and I had the Captain's Platter with fried oysters, shrimp, and flounder with grits and eagle fries. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The view of the waterway was also beautiful, it was a beautiful day. The calamari was fired to perfection.
Loved this restaurant!! Located in the Wapoo River, there is ample setting both inside and out with great views of the water. There were several large groups comfortably accommodated. The menu had something for everyone. I had the seafood boil pictured. Our meals were outstanding - prepared and presented well. We were seated promptly and our server was there immediately to assist us. She was pleasant and very attentive. We would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!
A very nice dinner. Sat outside and had perfect weather. Unique drinks and good food. Great atmosphere!
This is our absolute favorite place to eat in Charleston. We stumbled upon it by chance nearly 7 years ago on our first trip to Charleston and it’s a must visit on every trip to Charleston (usually a few times). This is also where we ate after eloping to Charleston in 2019. The food is ALWAYS delicious. The service is ALWAYS friendly and fast. The view is amazing. I can’t recommend it more highly!
