We decided to try Kim’s Tofu for brunch! We have 4 Asian girls - 1 Korean, 2 Chinese and 1 Thai. We all were very satisfied with Kim’s Tofu! Basically they have 5 items on their menu. A group of 4-6 people will be ideal so you have room to try their classics dishes as the servings are big. If it’s only two people for the table, I recommend getting one tofu soup and two classics or two tofu soups and one classics. We each had a tofu soup and ordered the mackerel and seafood pancake. We loved all the dishes. It’s tasted like home cooked food, not too oily or salty at all. They told us they made their tofu fresh every morning. My Korean friend can’t wait to bring her parents here to try next time round. Bonus - Head to C Fruit Life for desserts after! It’s just across the street. Authentic Asian desserts! 👍

The server was so helpful! He gave us tips about adding the special house sauce into the fresh bean curd and the oyster rice (not pictured). It was amazing. The fresh made tofu definitely made a difference in the sundubu-jjigae and all the ingredients were very fresh. All of the soups come with rice with the option to upgrade to oyster or nutritious rice. The oyster rice is white rice topped with oysters and radish—which was flavorful if you add the house sauce. Nutritious rice was a mix of black rice, beans, chickpeas, sweet potato and squash. A very filling meal and service was superb. Short wait time when we went but restaurant filled up quickly.

An excellent new addition to the Korean food scene in Allston. Delicious hearty tofu soups with plenty of side dishes in a cute modern decor with a friendly attentive staff. Highly recommend. We started with a complimentary taste of their house made tofu in a simple broth with a savory soy based dipping sauce. I ordered the oyster tofu soup. It came with a large bowl of rice and four small side dishes (kimchi, cucumbers, raw shrimp marinated in a sweet soy sauce, and veggies) and a small fried fish. Tea was offered later for the rice and the meal ended with a small cup of sweet cinnamon drink. Everything was terrific.

This is a restaurant with four items, so be aware. They have la kalbi, spicy pork, scallion pancake, and tofu soup. What I was surprised about was how good the sides were. The anchovies and cucumbers were delicious. The tofu soup and la kalbi were also up to the mark. But the scallion pancake was real bad. I will be shocked if someone tells me that’s the authentic version. Even an all-you-can-eat place’s pancake can beat this one. The service was very good. However, the chopsticks was impossible to use and I am Asian! My right hand were painful and it left deep marks in my fingers for a couple minutes. That’s insane.

Kim's Tofu is excellent and my new favorite place to get soondubu in Boston, usurping Kaju Tofu House. First off, the food. They have a small but perfect menu, and everything we tried was excellent. The kalbi ($24) was a heaping portion of meat and onions, sizzling and tender and juicy. The kimchi soondubu ($15) was lovely and full of flavor, and their tofu's silken texture and quality really shines through. I will say the broth is less thick and luxurious than Kaju's but as soondubu is all about the tofu, I think I like Kim's better. The oyster rice ($5) is a really awesome buy-up -- loaded with daikon and fat, fat oysters, it makes all the cooked-to-order rice very aromatic. (And yes, their rice is cooked-to-order!) Even the bonchon was really excellent -- spicy cukes, crisp and spicy kimchi, a marinated egg and some meat, a little fried fish, some fresh tofu with marinade, etc. And the sujeonggwa (Korean cinnamon ginger drink) at the end was the perfect, most refreshing way to round out the meal. Service was excellent as well. Because the rice is cooked-to-order, there was some mismatch in when the soondubu and kalbi came out versus when the rice came out. But the staff were really kind and communicative about it, and asked us if we wanted more bonchon, which I found to be a nice, generous touch. Facilities are great. Bathrooms are clean and outfitted with all sorts of surprising and thoughtful amenities like diapers, hand lotion, etc. 5/5, I'll be back!

Everything was perfect! We got so many different side dishes and they all tasted really good. I especially loved the cucumber kimchi and the fried fish :) I ordered mild seafood tofu soup and I think out of all the restaurants serving Korean styled soup in Allston this has been the best so far. Highly recommend! Great service too~

Fantastic side dishes!! The marinated raw shrimp is heavenly. The soybean seafood pancake and tofu soup are amazing too. The five grain rice looks pretty healthy but lacks a bit flavor.

Fantastic Korean comfort food. They have a limited menu but that’s because they focus on what they do best. The soup is hot and delicious. The Kalbi is tender and tasty. Not to mention all the free tofu starter, side dishes and dessert sweet drink at the end.

I am proud to be one of the first clients of this place! Kim's tofu is the only restaurant in the area that sells real handmade tofu and I've got to say that this makes a big taste difference. The staffs were also super nice, and the place is very clean and big which make it a good fit for families! I will definitely go there again very soon!

Very flavorful soup base and fresh tofu with the standard assortment of Korean side dishes. The spicy pork was also top notch. 10/10 would go again
