They have a good selection of regional Chinese food. Ordered several spicy Chinese dishes and they were pretty good. Loved the spicy cauliflower stir fry in a metal pot with potatoes and mixed vegetables. The beef wrapped in scallion pancake was probably high in calories but was so good. Seating was reasonable comfortable. The place looked quite clean. Service was fast and friendly.
I had the smoky hot shredded beef and it was killer. Wicked goodness. Enough heat to get you glowing. Yes, the place is kinda pricey, but considering what the kitchen is thrown down. Absolutely worth it. I also had the Singapore rice noodle and it was quite good.
I will be back to sample what other delights I can find on the menu.
It's been a year since I visited this place, but my most recent experience here was underwhelming. I only ordered one dish, which was delicious, but its portion size was too small to be that pricey. I understand that they need to hike up the prices to pay for sanitary needs, but I would never imagine a $17 Gen. Gao's Chicken dish that's smaller than a subway footlong.
Other than that, service was fine; they do their best and are quick with their services. Cleanliness was also fine; they did a good job despite covid-19 restrictions.
In short, it's a nice place, but there are better (and more affordable) places to go to than here.
Note: the other two pics were from my previous visit 1 year ago.
The juicy pork dumpling is very juicy. Hot and sour soup is a little too strong in flavor for me. General Tso chicken is similar to sweet and sour chicken with adding dried red chili.

I LOVE gourmet china house. Very generous portions and extremely quick and helpful service. Ultra-casual setting, well-organized menu. I thought their ma po tofu was one of the better, fresher ones I’ve had, and it’s a favorite dish of mine so I’ve had lots of places’ versions of it. Friend liked her shrimp noodles too. Large seafood and vegetarian selections.
The food was top notch and authentic during our visit. The service was pleasant and welcoming. Just hope the poor fish in this restaurant had more rooms to swim in... it was very sad to know that animal cruelty is common in Chinese restaurants. Not sure if I want to support places like this...
I liked that their food was decent, but a bit much for dim sum. I had their scallion pancakes and their veggie bun which was pretty good. My friend had their pork puns and veggie dumplings. Total came out to be $50+. The staff was friendly at least. We even got to eat in and there was no one eating but me and my friend. They also provide sanitizers and disposable plates and bottled water. During this pandemic, I think those measures are acceptable.
I will give that lamb with vegetables 5 star all day long. I must admit best lamb I have ever had in a while. Spices were on point. The tenderness of the lamb and the consistency of the veggies. My gosh I love that food. I am looking forward to going back there soon.
The place gets packed quick around lunchtime. The food came out fast after ordering.
Great tasting food served fast with good sized portions but customer service needs to be better. I know it's an Asian restaurant in Chinatown but just pointing at the receipt while not speaking English is just ignorant. Other than that, I would recommend this place.
Good food! I wish I could give it a 4.5 stars but I’m rounding up to be nice. Highlights are the soup dumplings and beef wrapped in scallion pancakes!
