We came here for my mom’s birthday after it being recommended to us by several people and Coppa far exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond to make it a special dinner for her and from start to finish the service was impeccable. The celery ceasar is a can’t miss item and the pastas were incredible. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back next time we’re in boston. Thank you to the coppa team!
Such a fun spot in a beautiful neighborhood! My husband and I traveled to Boston for our honeymoon. We were told that Copper's is a great spot to try, so we ended up stopping by for a cocktail before our dinner reservations at another spot. We were so impressed! Great atmosphere and wonderful service. We sat at the bar and we got a chance to chat with the bartender and see some of the dishes being prepared. So cool!
They had a Gilmore Girls theme for their fall cocktails and I tried the Sookie and DAR. My husband had a glass of red wine and the Team Jess. All the drinks were delicious, but we would recommend the Sookie and Jess.
We would definitely go back if given the chance!
Such a cute place with good food! I loved sitting on the quiet street enjoying the fall weather. I loved that they didn't play any music outside, so we can enjoy conversation and just the quiet cute neighborhood. The pastas and brussel sprouts were so good! I really liked that it didn't overwhelmed with ham or bacon like usual, I can taste the creamy cheese and the greens instead.
Mixed feelings about this place, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere but the tables are too close to each other. The food was good, my pizza was decent and my wife loved her pasta, but the drinks could be better, specially when you pay $15 each and they are served on soda cups.
The server was friendly and fast, but I cannot rate as good service because even though we ordered our mains together, my wife's plate was served much later than mine. It's ok when they are not served at the same time, but the time difference cannot be long, and it was; there was also an extra fee at the end, something around 5%
Overall a nice dining experience on a Thursday night at Coppa - food was tasty and came quick. I was satisfied with the gluten free pasta option. Service was just okay - nothing spectacular but nothing particularly wrong, either. We ate at the bar, & I requested some drink and food recommendations since it was my first timing dining at coppa, but was disappointed in the bartender’s willingness to engage and provide any insight. She didn’t seem overly busy, either (was on her phone at times in which we were waiting for service). Maybe sitting at a table would be a better experience but with a reservation almost 2 weeks out and a small dining space, this was all we could get!
Would definitely recommend Coppa though the inside is small and the tables are pretty close together so its you can't have a private conversation or a more intimate dinner. The food and service were very good. Overall SRV still wins out so far as my favorite Italian Restaurant in the South end in terms of food, service and ambience, but Coppa's coffee cannolis were one of the best deserts ever. Save some room for them. Also had decaf americanos which were excellent. (pictured are the arancini, burrata, squid ink pasta, cannolis, the zeppole.)
The food here is incredible! At Coppa, I ordered the bolognese and the special pasta (clams with squid ink bucatini). So so good. Each of the pasta had the perfect amount of sauce to noodle ratio. They weren’t dry or tasted like it was just noodles sitting on sauce. Honestly everything on the menu looked good so I’m going to have to go back to try more!
A fancy twist to literally every Italian dish you could ever think of. Spaghetti carbonara, for example, was garnished with Maine uni which added to the dish’s creaminess beautifully. Their Soppressata Pizza has far by been the best pizza I’ve had in Boston. The presence of tomato, dry aged salami, mozzarella, honey, garlic, chili on the pizza was an absolute delight to the palate. They all blend together so perfectly to create an interesting and memorable taste which is pretty challenging to describe. You definitely have to try it out for yourself to know haha. Oh, and don’t forget to end your meal with Coppa’s signature tiramisu!
The restaurant space is slightly limited; therefore, reservations are highly recommended. I booked a reservation for a party of 5 on a Monday night and we were surprised to see just how busy things were even on a random weekday night.
Their food is amazing, specifically gluten free pasta. They appear very careful with celiac preparation.
Such good pizzas and unique flavors. We tried 4 different pizzas and all were excellent. The margarita was a perfect “plain” pizza. The standouts were the corn pizza and the one with honey. Loved them all though! Outdoor seating is charming and pleasant.
