Did not like. Went to Zorba's after reading Bargain Bites in Baltimore Magazine. Horrible!!! Had to climb dirty carpeted stairs to sit by ourselves on 2nd level. Spanekopita was cooked in microwave making it soft and mushy. Article stated that it was crisp. Ha!! They sure didn't eat it at Zorba's because waitress said they always cook it in microwave. Phyllo dough in microwave??? Did the same thing with dessert. Hot, soft phyllo dough filled with cold custard. Ugh!!!
Rest of dinner was ok but not worth returning.
Great authentic greek food. Low cost. Delicious.
A hole in the wall in Baltimore but this place was amazing!! We tried the octopus for an appetizer and the lamb chops as the main course. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was delicious!! Our server Andrea was amazing as well. Will definitely be returning in the future and will recommend this place.
Go for the food, not the ambiance. Simply prepared and fresh. Charcoal grill in the kitchen is something special that you can't find in other restaurants in this city. Highlights off the menu include the spit roasted pork which was tender, juicy and flavorful. Grilled Octopus piled high on the plate and fresh salads. Big portions and great place to split a few dishes between friends.
Everything is great here to include the service. And they actually use a grill to prepare the food. Awesome. Half a chicken, branzino and the potatoes and beans. Great food
By far the most delicious, family-friendly restaurant in Baltimore City! We come here for every family celebration. The staff is amazing and the food is second to none.
Very serious about fresh seafood which is cooked over real charcoal. Not a fancy designer place, but maybe the best seafood restaurant in Baltimore, and their lamb chops and steak over charcoal are top notch. If they have crabcakes, get them. One approach is to skip all veg sides (except hand-cut fried potatoes) and use that space for great apps like grilled octopus and nice desserts like galatamboureko.
Delicious Greek food from local Greektown watering hole. Customers are all regulars from the area. We had the grilled octopus (a little dry but very tasty with vinegar/olive oil), dolmades (tasty and fresh), and lamb chops (some of the best lamb chops I’ve ever had) with homemade tsatziki and a Greek side salad. Everything was fantastic.
There's a chaotic good energy here. The food is terrific. Highly recommend the gyro, which is actually incredibly juicy pork cooked on the grill. It's not the kind that is shaved off the Kronos meat cone. The Zorba's fries are like cottage fries and delicious. The service is a little hectic. They don't use a POS, preferring to yell the orders while in the kitchen, which honestly I love, but it does mean that some items didn't come out so we had to ask.
Will totally return. Great food. Good people, and I got to watch them in the kitchen and Greek news at the same time.
Great food and service. Watching the grill fire the food is a treat to watch, especially the whole fish specials. The one issue a pet peev for me, is the place needs a good scrubbing including the toilets. Probably not going to happen so enjoy.
The best Greek food in Baltimore, relax atmosphere, friendly place, feels like Greece and I lived there for 25 years so I know what I am talking about!
We came here Sunday evening a few weeks ago and our server was really nice. The food was delicious and authentic. The grilled octopus was great. I had the lamb chops and they were tender. My boyfriend had the grilled scallops. Overall, we had a great time and it was delicious food. Their baklava is delicious too!
