Perfect breakfast/brunch spot! We've been here twice and it was perfect each time. Highly recommend stopping here for an early morning bite to wat. The staff is so nice and attentive.
We took a chance and walked a little over a mile from our hotel to check this place out. We were not disappointed. I ordered the deep fried stuffed French toast and my husband ordered the chicken wafflewhich and a biscuit with gravy. Everything was exceptional. The biscuit with gravy was the best we've ever tried! Friendly and quick service. Definitely recommend dining here whether you are a local or visiting from out of town.
I was in Baltimore last week and went here for breakfast. It was good enough to go back a second day. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere -- it was cozy on a chilly morning. The server was in a great mood and joking, which is a nice change from somber service I've received elsewhere.
I had the breakfast burrito with chorizo but sans the sour cream. It hit the spot -- more than enough food and delicious. My friend ordered "the beast". His report was initially that it lacked flavor (the gravy looked like it should have been packed with delicious fatty flavor) but he added a bit of pepper and Cholula and enjoyed it. Yes... "the beast" is also more than enough food!
I also had a nice Earl Grey tea with honey and some cream. I really like tea, honey and cream as a comfort food, so any restaurant that has a nice tea service gets a nod for it. The had a London Fog variant on my basics that added vanilla which I might try out next time.
There are a lot of vegetarian offerings and plenty for those of us who also eat meat.
My fiancé and I came here after staying in the inner harbor for work. We love a good breakfast and Spoons was highly recommended from a friend. I am gluten free and they didn’t have a marked menu, I got a side of 2 eggs with their breakfast potatoes! The potatoes were super good the eggs were broken which I prefer them a little runny but it’s ok. My fiancé got coffee and a biscuit breakfast sandwich which he said the biscuit was really good and the meal overall was good! The vibes were very homey and cozy. We are glad we tried it here!
I was in Baltimore last week and went here for breakfast. Luckily, it was good enough to go back and enjoy it on a second day. Nice food and atmosphere -- the venue was cozy on a chilly morning, and it felt like it was just cozy in general. My friend and I had a great experience here !! There was a small wait but we took that as a good sign for a restaurant during the day!!
Our table was ready in 20 min, we were attended to very quickly, the drinks came quick too!! I had a pineapple mimosa and she had a regular one, both were scrumptious !
I got the yoga parfait and potatoes, she got one of the sandwich’s and potatoes, everything was so good!!!
We’d 100% come back here
This place is amazing. We’re just visiting and I chose this place and it did not disappoint. My husband said the Beast “hit the spot” which is a huge thing for him to say. The white chocolate peppermint mocha was delicious. Thanks for the amazing food to the guys / gals cooking it!
My group and I had a great time here today. We came in for lunch and, it's true, you really should make reservations. At noon on a Sunday the wait was about 45 minutes to seat four people. When it was our turn to be seated, the wait staff was very friendly and made jokes with us from the start. I imagine and hope that all the staff here were as friendly. I hate that I didn't catch her name!
The coffee we had was fabulous, both in presentation and in taste. We tried the egg nog coffee, the marshmallow coffee, and their regular black drip, all great. Yes, the marshmallow coffee actually comes with a toasted marshmallow!
The food was fantastic too. The waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and the food came out quickly and hot. I love that they have great sweet and savory options for brunch.
The only odd thing was that there is a little bit of a rush here to turn the tables to new customers. I totally understand it though. With a great restaurant like this in such high demand and with such little seating, you need to keep the hungry people flowing so everyone can have a chance to enjoy it.
After we were seated. The waitress, with the short haircut, skipped over our table to wait on 2 customers that were seated after us. After giving the water, coffee, juice, and placing their order, she decided to grace us with service. Our food seat on the counter for about 5 or 6 minutes another more pleasant waitress brought our food to us. Our waitress never returned to check up us until she put the bill on the table and left again.
The food was phenomenal, but the service was horrible.
OMG!!! Errrrrrthing here is soooo good!! They have breakfast and brunch PERFECTED!! I’ve been here twice and could not get enough each time. I don’t even know where to start! The fried oysters & grits were magnificent! The cinnamon roll pancakes are to die for!!! It’s a small venue with BIG TASTE and you must have reservations because everyone wants some of Spoons, but I tell you no matter how far out the reservation it’s always worth the wait!! You will not be disappointed, everything we tasted was so good. Not sure who the cooks are but they got each dish right!!
I went here recently for breakfast and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The service was also really good especially considering that they were very busy. The food/drinks are kind of expensive but not insane (~$60 for 2 people with 1 drink each). They almost always have some kind of wait for a table on the weekends.
When I went here last, I got the cinnamon roll pancakes, a side of French fries, and a mimosa. The pancakes were good although they we’re definitely very sweet. I would say they were a little too sweet for me but I should have anticipated this so I’m not docking any stars over it. The French fries were really good - nice and crispy. The mimosa was pretty standard I would say although for ~$9 each it’s definitely not a deal. It looked like they had pretty good vegetarian options including beyond sausage.
The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere. I sat upstairs and enjoyed the many paintings they have hanging. Everything was clean and bright with plenty of natural sunlight. The service was attentive and friendly. They have an 18% service charge on all dine in checks. I totally understand the need to fairly compensate waitstaff and combat non-tippers. Personally, I think it would make more sense to just raise menu prices and wages and state clearly that tips are accepted but not necessary. Just my 2¢.
Overall, I enjoyed my time here and could definitely see myself coming back.

I cannot say enough great things about Spoons! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, making for a perfect dining experience. I highly recommend trying the Hot Hen Sriracha Biscuit Sandwich with Eggs and the Vanilla Lavender Latte! Both were incredible. I will definitely be returning to Spoons, this is an amazing spot!"
