Great space. I enjoyed the fried fish tacos and el 4/20. Tacos are bigger than I expected and service is fast. Tasty, but not extraordinary.
I got barbacoa, bean cheese, and egg and bacon tacos. My first impression is that the tortillas are homemade. The salsa was great. But I wish the tacos did not have so much cheese. It made things salty. All in all, good tacos. I would stop again and ask for no cheese.
Ordered the street taco w/ flour tortilla and pork taco w/ corn. (Pictured on left is Senior Crockett) All were Incredible tacos, everything was prepared with detail, sauce options are all delicious. I went back in and ordered a 3rd, another street taco on flour. 10/10 recommend this taco restaurant in Austin
Ordered tamale, Street taco, chips and salsa. Everything really amazing. Smokey, complex flavor. Not your average tacos; this place is different. Not much inside but has a nice outdoor patio.
Shout out to taco joint. We are a strong 6 out of 10 for this spot. Highly recommended just find your favorite taco. Fast and friendly service.
Good taco spot for well crafted and unique creations. Pricey, and the portions are fair, but the taste is great. Some tacos definitely shine better than others. The fried fish taco is definitely my favorite. I wouldn’t recommend the shrimp one, or any where the protein would be dry. Limited amount of seating. Not a bad place, if you’re willing to pay the premium!
I had the best tacos here in this restaurant in my two weeks travelling around California and Austin. Fast service, friendly, great value and extremely tasty.
I used to deliver fish and shrimp to this location. Finally decided to grab some tacos for the day…..
Wow. Bacon/egg chorizo/egg on corn was amazing. Definitely an awesome taco stand in downtown Austin!
Taco Joint has really tasty tacos and pretty fast service. Went here for a quick and easy lunch and it did not disappoint. The street and wholly mole tacos were incredible and I would recommend them as a solid casual meal.
The only thing keeping me from rating it 5 stars is simply the dark and slightly cramped interior of the restaurant. Besides that, the food is great and I would definitely recommend eating at Taco Joint!
I went to this taco joint almost every Sunday for 6 years before moving away from Austin.
Amazing food and really welcoming people working there!
If you don’t know what to get, do my usual order: 1 Bean and Cheese, 1 420 and finish it off with a Potato and Cheese (all on flour tortillas). Perfect for a Sunday Brunch.
