The food was really good. I had the tongue and it was flavored exceptionally well but my torta itself was a little dry. Next time, I'll have them add whatever type of mayo or sauce they use to "wet it down" a little bit.
This location of Las Tortas can be found at 5841 Roswell Rd NE, Atlanta GA 30328 in Sandy Springs. It's in a shopping center on the right traveling North outside the perimeter. The sign outside reads "Las Tortas Locas" - I've seen several of these around town, at least half a dozen in my travels but this is the first I've ventured into. This is more of a lunch place and by the look of all the Hispanic speakers, very popular with that crowd. I'd rate this as slightly above fast food - more like what you would receive at Willy's or other lunch-counter order places with better quality ingredients and minimal service.
Its...okay. Their salsa is AMAZING. The place is filled with locals, and it very busy during lunch. I ordered two chicken tacos, and I did not like the tortilla. I must be too American-ized because their tortilla was TOO authentic for me, and it tasted terrible. I also don't like that they don't have a soda fountain, just cans. Their chicken is very delicious though.
Loco for Locas!. I wouldn't call the tortas complex or really interesting (not that they should be), but they're really good and really cheap. Service is quick and friendly and the broad salsa bar selection adds variety. It's definitely fast food, but a much better alternative than a lot of the standard stuff out there.
Buford Hwy quality, in a super clean space. My office is near here and it is so nice to get my taco fix filled without having to go to Buford Hwy. Very friendly staff, no language barriers and it is incredibly clean. Health inspection score is consistently 100. Try the tacos as well as the very large and filling tortas. The salsa bar is fantastic as well, with 8-10 salsas, fresh lime/radish for garnish and lots of tasty pickled veggies. I am especially fond of the nopalitos (pickled cactus).
Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Place was full of locals. Very friendly staff. Let us taste samples. Loved the food. Cheap and fresh. Authentic Mexican food, not Americanized. This is going to be a new regular for me!! Give it a 10/10.
Great alternative to fast food. I had really never stopped in at one of these, but was driving by today and gave it a shot. No frills, but a huge and tasty Nortena sandwich (Milanesa w/ chihuahua and white cheese) for not a lot of money. I went with a jarritos but the horchata looked pretty darned good. Don't forget about the salsa bar because my only complaint was that there were no pickled or hot peppers that you sometimes see on this sandwich and, while it's a very fresh and tasty sandwich, it needs a little something to jazz it up a bit.
I think of this as fast food and I think this is a much better option than a fast food hamburger!
Very good chain. There are several of these around town, and they do Tortas, Tacos, Burritos and other items. They have a salsa bar with about 8 different items including the salsas. I have had both the Torta Cubano (with egg, sausage, beef, avocado, tomato and more) and the Torta Milanesa (breaded steak *amazing*) and enjoyed them both. They also have 4 different agua frescas. I don't love this location because I hate the intersection of Roswell Road and 285, but if you go at night there isn't as much traffic. Friendly staff, although language can sometimes be a barrier.
Tacos de pollo (chicken), de pastor (marinated spicy pork off the rotisserie), and de asada (grilled steak) are favorites. For a bit extra, you can add grilled pineapple and cotija cheese which is totally worth it. Top it off with a side of black beans and you still have one of the cheapest meals in the city.
Las Tortas Locas is on the east side of Roswell Road, in a little strip mall a bit north of the 285 intersection. The parking lot is cramped, hard to get into, or out of. The lot itself tends to be quite full, and the restaurant, around lunch, had plenty

5 star for authentic Mexican options, quick service and friendly staff. I found this place through recommendations of locals in the area - it’s deceiving on the outside but is a legit place for some great Mexican. Would recommend the pollo and pork tacos plus on a hot day, their mango drink hits the spot. A couple things… this isn’t Tex Mex and the staff speaks little English. I’ll go back for sure for a quick pick up.
This is a pretty authentic place. Full of hispanic laborers on their lunch break, all number calls were in Spanish, absolutely incredible and refreshing horchata and agua de mango
The consume was delicious, herby, and filling. The taco was loaded with meat. Unfortunately, the burrito was very lacking. The price was also a bit steep. Definitely worth a return trip though, I'll just stick with the tacos

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurant in this area, really authentic!
I usually go for dinner and food is ready in a matter of minutes.
The few times I visited for lunch even it is crowded, the food and services is great.
They offer a complementary salad bar.
Great quality food and utensils. Better than Chipotle. My favorite taco = pork + pineapple and cheese. Hawaiian.
La Tortas Locas was really good. They sctually care about the food and it all tasted fresh. It does get a bit busy during lunch, but it was a good change of pace. Will definitely be coming back !
The absolute best unless you go to the one on Roswell Road then you'll end up with bubble guts
The 牛舌lengua taco and condone/ beef soup are delicious , but nacho is so so
Me and my boyfriend always come here for the best authentic torts! They have amazing horchatas and their Georgia burrito is so flavorful, I also enjoy their selection of sauces they provide.
The food is definitely the best thing about this place 10/10
