Decided to check this spot out after a run at Piedmont park. I enjoyed the food here and customer service... Established was clean... The sweet potato and broccoli was cooked very good.. I thought the chicken amount was s little low but I think they just put it all on one side of the dish. I'll go back and try the noodles one day. I thought the portion side of the whole dish was good.
The best restaurant in Emory Village and I'm so sad they are closing on February 3rd. Always consistently great food and customer service.
I need to break down this 4 star rating, because it's really an average of highs and lows, that I will subrate below;
5 ⭐'s for customer service. Let me highlight Hasaan, the guy working the counter. Real friendly guy, took the time to explain the menu, make suggestions and even brought our food out. We aren't local, so we had a good talk and though we took Hasaan from his job for a bit, he was the best part of the Dragon Bowl experience.
3.5⭐'s on the location as it has outdoor seating, decent parking lot and nice decor. I found the bathrooms dirtier than I stood for in my restaurant and cleanliness in the kitchen was subpar that I could see.
2.8⭐'s on the food. Frankly, the ramen lacked flavor, the sesame chicken lacked sauce, the veggies are cut too big to eat easily and the overall dishes pictured led me to feel I was in for quite the experience. The presentation is good, but the flavors just aren't there. I hope I caught this place on a bad day food wise.
4.2⭐'s on the drink options though. The dragon water and black tea were good and the lemonade was great.
In summary, try for yourself. I felt it was priced a tad strong but the location is worth it, as are the seating options. I will return again in the future and amend my review if improvement occurs.
Came to Emory University for orientation with my son and we had lunch here. Great selection, different styles of noodles, and sauces. Had the crispy pork belly, raman, deep fried brussel sprouts, and vietnamese sauce. It was great!
My son the ramen soup with grilled chicken and he loved it! Don't miss passing by here when on tour with your kids, you know they're going to be here all the time!
I got the Panang curry, it was a good amount of food for the price. I thought it could’ve been a little bit spicier and there wasn’t enough rice, but overall very good value for the price.
This place is so delicious! Veggie bowls, ramen, salads. Just had the green curry. It was incredible, huge, tasty, and healthy! Options mostly in the $12-18 range. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves Asian cuisine!
Dragon Bowl is consistently a good experience. There are always people here, but I've never had any issues finding a seat. Inside is very relaxed and the lights stay dim, so it's not a bad place for conversation and such. The patio can get loud, but it's nice to sit outside and soak up Emory Village.
The food and ingredients are definitely good quality. I swear by their brussel sprouts, the way they char them really brings out the flavor. Their sweet potatoes and kimchi pickles are favorites too. Honestly, the veggies are so good, you really don't need the meat. The pork belly and chicken are decent, but the steak is probably the best meat they offer. Generally, the ramen noodles are my favorite carb, but the rice noodles are a close second. The brown rice is pretty standard, nothing to write about.
It's a little pricer than one would expect, but like I said, the ingredients are quality. Good for delivery and casual meals.
Pictured: built my own bowl with brown rice, chicken, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, and kimchi pickles.
Good food. Staff were nice and it was reasonably priced. I'll be back if I return to Atlanta.
Really good food, nice staff. Pretty quick service. The ramen, edamame, and Vietnamese bowl are all tasty.
Excellent food, employees and vibe. Good amount of food for the price. Ordered the ramen with chicken, broccoli and brussel sprouts with cilantro. Teriyaki sauce was great. Highly recommend each part, especially the brussel sprouts.
