LOVE this place! You have to try it - chocolate truffle selections, gelato, sorbet, and even some vegan stuff!!! I tried the coconut sorbet, delicious! Friendly staff and amazing gifts for any occasion. Great place overall!
With flavors like Vanilla Lavender and Wildflower, I wasn’t sure this was going to be my kind of place after all. Worry not, they also have a dark chocolate, blood orange, cinnamon, smoked chile and Sea Salt Caramel.
To say the Chocolate Cartel is a serious chocoholic’s paradise is an understatement. Its offerings include chocolate covered almonds, assorted turtles, Mayan hot chocolate, dark chocolate flourless cake and chocolate bars. As popular as the chocolates are, the Cartel has earned almost as much acclaim for its gelatto and sorbet products, both of which are without peer in New Mexico.
I went in looking for good gelato. I found that plus really good chocolate! It was very tasty. It is not cheap but it is worth it. I went a while ago and I can’t wait to go back. The gelato chocolate wafer was extremely good. Service was outstanding and I highly recommend you give them a try.

This was our first time here and it didn't disappoint. The chocolates were beautiful, but we got gelato instead. I had the mint chocolate chip and my daughter got the blueberry lavender. The mint chocolate chip was delicious and the blueberry lavender was a pleasant surprise of deliciousness. It wasn't one flavor overpowering the other, it was a great balance. We'll be back 😊.
Loved the blueberry & port the best. The liqueur filled truffles were also delightful. The dark chocolate was smooth and rich. Go ahead and indulge! You’ll be glad you gave these a try.
New to abq and was missing my go to chocolatier Coco Dulce in Wichita KS, and found this one!!! I'm pleased to say I am excited about my chocolates!! They also have gelato so got a carton of their carrot cake flavor!! The ultra dark chocolate is da bomb!! Can't eat them all at once or maybe I will!!!!
Love this place for all their tasty treats! So many instore made items to choose from. They even let you sample treats before you buy. Love It!
This place is unbelievable! You’ll see their chocolate all over town, but highly recommend coming in for a HUGE assortment of absolutely delicious chocolate. Honestly this is an Albuquerque-must-visit spot. Seriously most delicious and awesome selection, with great spicy chocolates. Perfectly priced. Wishing for a Diablo hot chocolate!!!
Popped in to try some chocolate. I prefer dark chocolate. This place had a nice variety of both dark and milk chocolate. They had several small bars with various fruit ( cherry, blueberry and I think papaya) there were peanut butter cups and espresso bars and so many others. The chocolate itself was smooth and delicious. Not enough fruit in the bar for me, but it was still very good. I will definitely go back for more, when I am in the area.
