Foods were fantastic! I had spicy shrimp tostada and it was perfection. My husband had taco trio and he & my toddler loves it as well. Love how the restaurant doesn’t use plastic straw. Our server John is friendly and nice. Other staffs are nice and friendly as well.
Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the cherry margherita. If you are watching your salt intake, go easy on the chips and salsa, and waffle fries. They are salty. The Southwestern Chicken Sandwich seems popular. It was good, but note: it is dark meat chicken with a cornmeal coating. I wish it was specified on the menu because it wasn't what I expected. Nevertheless, it was good to try something a little different.
Went there for lunch on a Wednesday. Were seated immediately. Great and attentive service. Fresh, spicy and tasty meals. We ordered a pizza calabatas (can’t remember the name exactly) and their trio tacos. All great, well served and fast service.
Was walking around Old Town, happened upon this gem. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a very popular place, got there right before the lunch rush and it got packed. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful with menu questions. The food came out fast and looked and tasted amazing. I had no idea about this place and took a chance and was very pleased. Now that I know about Backstreet Grill I will be going back.
Located in Albuquerque's Old Town, the Backstreet Grill is a quaint place to eat.The walls of the venue feature pictures of Old Town. The vibe is rustic and cozy. Great service. Food was timely.
I ordered the Baja Pulled Pork Sandwich.
(The pork is mixed with mango & pineapple which made the sandwhich very sweet but cooled the pork on arrival. I would've liked another flavor in there to balance out the sweetness. The buns had to contend with the moisture from both the pork and the fruit so they were almost soggy.)
The waffle fries are crispy and their green tomato ketchup is yummy. (Made in house)
Go for the Backstreet Nachos, the pork is tender and the cheese is creamy and flavorful. On point!
Good selection of beer and wine.
House margarita is ok, Ive definitely had better.
If you want to taste a good Margarita, go to El Patron!

Diane and I were here back in May and we really enjoyed it so I'm back for lunch. Everything had to be served as takeout except I got a real glass for tea. Notice the umbrella pose😀. So I had the street tacos of beef, chicken and pork. I started with chips and queso which are both extra, no free chips. The chips needed to be fresher but the quest was good and thick, I just don't think that little cup was enough for $3. The tacos were stuffed but the meats were a dry. This time was just not as good as last. Maybe we'll try it again, I dont know.
The Backstreet grill is friendly, the welcome at the door is respectful and your welcomed with big smiles. It is clean, the bar is cozy, it isn't large but welcoming. The staff display professionalism. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Easy walk from the Albuquerque Museum. My wife went for the pork burrito with queso sauce since her stomach does not tolerate spicy food. Declared it to be the best burrito she has had.
I had the duck tacos (3) with a Milk Chocolate Stout. Great combination. The tacos were in 2 soft corn tortillas each so it didn't fall apart in your hands. Stout was splendid with it.
Good service. Basic grill with tables and booths. The table tops are bare so not fancy. Food is a little pricey ($13.89 for each entree) but good.
Our first-time in Old Town and I asked a local business owner where we should eat. She suggested Backstreet Grill. Shrimp tacos had an amazing combination of flavors. Mom had fish tacos that had a kick while my father opted for Street Tacos. Great atmosphere and Samantha was our lovely waitress.
Loved this place. Super family friendly, incredible food and good atmosphere. Highly recommend the shrimp scampi and street tacos.
