We had a great meal here tonight. Great service, excellent excellent excellent food. The eggplant curry was absolutely delicious as was the palak paneer. The masala dosa and the rava masala dosa were out of this word as well.
Came in thinking, well it's in Woodland how good can it be? It was amazing! Fresh a great balance of flavor and heat. Full size samosas. Nom!
We drove from Davis to eat dinner here. We ordered masala dosa combos n chicken biryani. Pricy but taste very good.
Something for everyone here. I am vegetarian and can always find a great meal here, so can the meat eaters in my party. The service is welcoming and friendly. So many flavors, it's a party to your tastebuds. The place looks nice, you can dress casual or get dressed up for dinner if you like. Everyone fits at Swagat and they feed you really well.
Love the food here. Much better and authentic south indian food. Ask for Spicy and you will not be disappointed.
The search for a fresher indian cuisine needn't be too difficult. Come visit Swagat for a variety of the most delicious and hearty Thali, Naan, Sauces, Meats, and Vegetarians dishes. I picked Swagat from Google and was most happily surprised! Wait till you see their interior! It's simply gorgeous.
First time eating at Swagat today and it was great. We were quickly greeted and seated.
Food: I decided on the buffet so I could try the different dishes and everything was delish! Butter chicken was really good over rice and naan. They also had fresh fruit, dressings/sauces, two rice dishes and an array of main dishes (vegetarian, goat and chicken).
Environment: Nicely decorated with music playing in the background. Plenty of room between tables with a section of two seaters and larger group tables. Everything looked very clean including the windows!
Try it out! I'll be back for sure.
I initially had relatively low expectations for this Indian restaurant when it was new, but it has become my go-to place for delicious and satisfying Indian food in Woodland. I've been here about 5 times now and it's been excellent every time. The butter chicken is to die for. I've ordered thali style a couple of times which has a lot of variety and is really filling! The waiter is super friendly and is super happy to recommend something new to try. Clean, low-key atmosphere. Love it!
The chicken curry thali is sooo tatsy. They give you so much food in the thali! The owner is really nice too, he always makes sure his patrons are taken care of. You will not be hungry if you order the thali and the food is very tasty too
