I do no do this lightly, I am very careful with putting myself out there and making recommendations about anything; but a job well done I feel must be mentioned. Friday evening we went to your establishment for dinner. We dine out frequently and decided to try Roccos for dinner. We had always come for lunch before. Upon arrival we were greeted by a sweet blond girl who asked if we had a reservation and if not it would be a short wait. We opted to wait. The diningroom manager was right on top of things!
We were seated and I must say, everything was so elegant. Our waitress was phenomenal! (I wish I remembered her name- she was so wonderful making recommendations and despite the fact this gal was expecting, she moved with such grace and refinement! I adored her!)
Usually at some point something falls short when a place is so very busy, but not ROCCOS! Timely service, from the bread and water, drinks, and appetizer (the fried ravioli is to die for! The marinara sauce is incredible!) our dinner arrived and I was utterly impressed. We tried the Pompeii platter and a seafood dish with linguini. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the chicken was nicely done and the seafood was fresh! Now, I am a food critic- I'm harsh on everything, and my pallet is very difficult to please but I can tell you that I was completely satisfied by everything! You can tell a GOOD restaurant by four key things. The wait staff, the bread served before dinner, how attentive the dining room manager is and how the food is presented. Our waitress checked back on us, packed up our leftovers which there was so much we had to take some home! I LOVE this restaurant.
While leaving I stopped to ask about recommendations for holiday dining and a very lovely well informed woman who moved with the grace of a flamenco dancer was a joy to speak with. I cant say enough good about my experience here. Again, I don't give recommendations easily but honest and true this place is phenomenal! Lunch or dinner you will get a great meal, fantastic wait staff, and excellent service. We will be back! That says it all.... I thank you for a beautiful dining experience!
I just love this place and take my Mom for lunch or dinner at least monthly. The food is always fresh and well made. The only thing the takes away from the experience is the use of little plastic cups for dressings and some app sauces.
Highly recommend!
Great food great vibe great service. Right across route 38 from where the Bruins practiced and had most preseason games for decades up until a few years back. many NHL stars over the year have enjoyed this place as well as the local people like myself
Rocco's accepted our large party very gracefully and the staff/owner welcomed us warmly. The food was amazing! And they have a gluten free menu! Thank you!
Rocco's is another wonderful local restaurant favorite for Italian. We go here often and recently celebrated a mini-reunion with friends. All the dishes are wonderful, but the pizza is over the top. See you soon Rocco's!
I've been going to Rocco's for years and they have the best Pizza's in Wilmington.. I love this place and Joe is the best ..
Fish & Chips were really good. We had Cosmo's & pastas as well. Place gets busy but only good spots have wait times.
Best Italian food I have had in a long time. It is out of my way but I would drive there again. Portions were big and I was able to have left overs for lunch the next day.
Rocco's is truly one in a million! i love this place more than any restaurant I've been to! they have the best and i mean THE BEST fried raviolis! I love the atmosphere as it feels like i stepped into a quaint little restaurant in Italy itself. The décor is wonderful but the food is absolutely fantastic! i must try if your in the area! i can't wait to come back and have some more of their delicious cuisine!
