Very unassuming from outside, but inside is a hidden gem! The food is all fresh and house made. Nothing canned or processed. The food is amazing by any standards, and there are many gluten free options as well! The portions were huge and the service was too notch. If you’re passing through Wickenburg and want something other than the fast food off the 85, this place is a must
It’s a little bit country. It’s a little bit rock ‘n’ roll. Now leave out the rock ‘n’ roll and you have the El Ranchero. waitress was super sweet…atmosphere pretty much what you’d expect in a small town eatery… including the cracked vinyl booth seat that your butt never fails to land on. Food was very tasty with the exception of my shrimp needed to be cooked just a hair longer but otherwise very very good! so head on over to El Ranchero and fill your belly with some steamin’ good food!
An excellent neighborhood Mexican restaurant with very friendly nice service. The food was great and well priced. The service was fantastic. This place feels like a small town local restaurant where the staff really cares about their customers.
First time here I wasn’t very hungry so I barely ate. The Green Corn Tamale wasn’t that good but the Chile Relleno was delicious. Everyone else was satisfied and they have some good salsa!
We went here on the recommendation of a local. They said they didn't go out much but when they did this was one of their go to spots. We ordered the toritos which were highly recommended deep fried cukes stuffed with shrimp and wrapped with bacon. We also ordered a pork Chile some and a cheese enchilada. It all started out good with great salsa including a hot and mild version and bean dip. They were all good. The toritos were disappointing. I think the problem was they left the pepper seeds in. My wife thought the sope was excellent. I thought the pork Chile could have been better. It was tender and had a good flavor but it was red sauce based instead of green. The cheese enchilada was pretty good but there's a flavor embedded in the enchilada sauce I can't put my finger on. It wasn't bad but I've had much better. Service was good and although they were fairly busy they teamed up to insure we were taken well care of.
My husband and I came on a Sunday for lunch. Amazing friendly service. I had the tri color enchiladas, out of this world! And nice portions, saved half for dinner! Can’t wait to come back.
Very good food at a reasonable price. Nice big portions! People were very friendly with plenty of room for bigger parties and families.
Good chips. Salsas are spicy but the guac is very good. I like the enchiladas. Good portions. Great staff. Margaritas are on point.

First time at this beautiful restaurant that is located in a very small but booming town. My waitress was the awesome and cool Natalia and the servers name was Mikael who made the who experience so amazing and superb!!!. Got a history lesson as well...and the food was sooo freaking delicious...will definitely return in the near future...oh and the ambience was so relaxing and clean..you can smell the food from your car. Spectacular place..if you decide to come to wikenburg make a stop at this place!!!!
Good service, authentic Mexican food! Parking is limited.
My daughter thought the chips tasted stale. The ground beef in tacos had too much oil in it. Quesadilla were the best!
