Ate here for the first time and the food was delicious. I'll be back for sure Catfish and wings was on point! By far the best soul food in Wichita!
Omg I wanted some has browns so I stopped at Rachel kitchen. I got them and a vegetable omelet. While I was waiting I decided to add a piece of fish. Can I tell you it was the best food decision I have made in a while. Lord that omelet was huge and piping hot. The has browns were seasoned so well. The catfish was crunchy and not too fishy. I was so full I didn't need to eat the rest of the night. The prices were good too.
Service is fantastic. The food is amazing. Best fried okra I have ever had. The chicken was fried to profection. Was to full to eat any of the homemade desserts, so got them to go for later. This is my new favorite place to eat, looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu.
This place is a well-kept gem. Quaint atmosphere. They are so polite and the food is delicious- seasoned, cooked properly, tasty. Golden brown crispy fried chicken. Greens to die for. But the winner is definitely the cakes! Have to experience the butter cake and the strawberry cake. I ate them and went back for more. DELICIOUS.
I am from the south and have been looking for a good soul food restaurant. When I tell you upon walking in, i felt so welcomed! The waiter and staff were very friendly! They kept us happy and laughing! And the food... Man it was just wonderful! So much flavor. I will definetly be returning!
Absolutely awesome fried chicken. Mashed Potatoes, Mac & Cheese and Cornbread very very tasty very good. Rachel's was clean and bright and the staff was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back for the Catfish.
Went to Rachel's on a friend's recommendation and we're not disappointed. The special was beef stew with corn bread that really hit the spot on a winter afternoon. The service was friendly and fun. We would stop here next time we are in town. Thanks for the nice meal.
A quite little hidden treasure serving real southern soul food. Family owned and operated everyone says hey when ya walk in. Food is delicious, not expensive and served with a smile. Call ahead carryout is a great option too. Highly recommend you check this place out
