Such a pleasant place, in my opinion the best Chinese restaurant of the dozen or so in the area now. First, welcoming service. Though we have only visited a few times the server recognized us and thanked us for coming back. Very nice!
The room is fresh, clean and pretty, the dishes and glassware attractive and in good order. We ordered luncheon specials. They come with soup, and an appetizer, which is a rarity these days. The portions are generous, the food well seasoned and fresh. You can hear the wok tossing your dishes and the food comes out piping hot.
There's a pretty sushi bar, though we haven't had a chance to order there yet. Full bar also.
It's handicap accessible. Gluten free diners, vegetarians and children too would eat well here. Take out must be a big business but we liked the dining room. Prices are very reasonable.
This is the nicest place we've been in a while. I love sushi and GPS brought us to this place on the way to our camping spot. They just opened. I was hesitant for a bit because it turned out to be a Chinese and Japanese fusion restaurant. I was not lucky in the past to find good sushi in the fusion place. But this place proved me wrong. Outstanding sushi, very reach miso soup(some places have it watery) and the freshest spring rolls and Rangoons. We got the best of both worlds. And the staff could not be more nice and enthusiastic. Please open the same restaurant in Lakeville,MA! ;)Bravo! We will definitely come back!
I loved to see how Rangoons we're made and adding the picture of this goodness:)
Upon entering you'll be warmly greeted by the personable owners Bruce & Amy. I sat across from the beautiful new sushi bar to order my takeout. They kindly welcomed my request on a few ingredient substitutions. I was given fresh nuts to snack on with my beverage. I ordered some beef teriyaki to eat while I waited.
THE BEST teriyaki I ever had! SO tender and flavorful. I usually dip in duck sauce but not on these scrumptious sticks! Enjoyed chatting with Amy. What a sweetheart.
Got home and couldn't believe the HUGE portions and SO delicious! I highly recommend Great Wok! The owners show pride and passion. Bruce is involved with the cooking and Amy with drinks, take out and more. Wonderful family owned restaurant! Didn't get to take pics of the yummy boneless ribs or scallion pancakes.
Best Japanese food in and around Boston. I have been going to different Japanese restaurants for months. This is by far the best one I have ever been to. Food was above fabulous. Service outstanding (Cindy was a great waitress) and the atmosphere very inviting and relaxing. I know that this will be my go to restaurant. While we were there a number of people came in and from the way they greeted the staff it was obvious they were regulars. You have to try it. This restaurant must survive the tough times. Oh, also they do NOT close during middle of the day.
This is my favorite place for Chinese food in the history of Chinese restaurants.
First off, their food is AMAZING! When I moved to MA I couldn't find anywhere that had decent Chinese until Great Wok. Not only is their Chinese food amazing, they also have super tasty Japanese cuisine.
To top it off, all of the employees are super kind, especially Amy, she's the best!
15/10 100% recommend!
Best Chinese Restaurant In Newton
I love to eat at new places, found this place for the weekend. Enjoyed the ambiance and taste of food.
Incredible sushi-best rice to fish ratio i've ever seen! Really fast. Amazing food!
Service and food were great. Place was not to busy on a Monday night 8pm, so I was immediately greeted and seated within a min from walking in. Order from both the kitchen and sushi. Food came out quick and was hot. I will define come back to enjoy a good meal.
