Just excellent! The Papdi Chat has a satisfying crunch to go along with well cooked chickpeas. Delicious sauce. I got the masala dosa which was not only massive but very tasty. The red chutney had an incredible flavor. Also felt like it was reasonably priced.
Amazing place!! Being vegetarian, I'd definitely visit often if I stayed closer.
Cleanliness 5/5 - Hand sanitizers are available and they have plastic sheets between the tables and kitchen.
Staff 5/5 - I've been here a couple of times and have always received friendly and attentive service.
Food 5/5 - We had the masala dosa, panner Tikka masala, and a mango last. It all hit the spot!! The potatoes in the dosa were soft and tasty. I also like that they ask how spicy you want it (mild, medium, hot).
Delicious food! The owner/chef was also a pleasure to meet. Highly recommend this local gem of a restaurant. Definitely try the medu vada and masala dosa during your visit, you won’t regret it.
A pure vegetarian Indian food place. Almost like a hole in a wall. But, excellent food. Our waitress was amazingly nice, pleasant and polite. Quick service.

Amazing! My favorite restaurant in DC. So many vegan options of a good portion, and delicious! Accessible prices too. There is always something new I want to try. Very kind staff as well.
Wow what a gem! Amazing food, with plenty of authentic "not diluted for Americans" spice. The largest Dosa I've ever seen, and with a wide variety of sauces. Not crazy about the paper and (some?) compostable plates, but at least they're not plastic. We brought ours home to compost or recycle, though I think they participate in the DC composting and recycling initiative, but next time we'll just bring our own containers.
Incredible! It's been over a year since I've had Vegz and I'm filled with regret of so many missed meal opportunities in 2021. I won't make that mistake in 2022. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. I've grown accustomed to samosas being mostly good crunch/texture and bland and boy howdy were my taste buds surprised with a flavor surge. Spinach chaat had a great crunch and flavor. Between 3 mains and 2 starters I couldn't pick a favorite. Each carried it's own weight and deserved that #1 spot on the podium. Highly recommend you do yourself a flavor and get some Vegz in your life. Great flavor, freshness, and quantity for the price.
