A great little gem nestled away from Petworth. Great food and great beer.
The garden is lovely and the views are wonderful. The staff are friendly and always welcoming to us and our dog. It is a great place and recommend it fully.
The rating that I give is over the course of many visits not just a one off experience.
Gorgeous West Sussex country pub. Very friendly, attentive staff. Beautiful garden with amazing scenery.
Great pub with surprisingly large outdoor garden! Good selection of local beers, and was impressed by the menu overall.
Due to its location, parking can let it down, but preserver and you will find a space!
My wife and I, with our sons dog came for Sunday lunch and had a lovely meal. The portions were generous, the waiting staff attentive and looked after us well.
My wife had roast beef and I had the roast pork. Both were very tasty and the chef able to accommodate my dietary needs. The only downside was the apple sauce that was evidently not home made; it was too sweet and one dimensional. The desserts were very nice; lemon posset I would highly recommend, while my wife enjoyed the crepe brûlée.
We were able to enjoy the meal with our dog snuggled under the table, next to a glorious roaring fire throwing out some heat.
In all, a lovely Sunday lunch.
Came for lunch with friends a week ago. We had booked but were able to sit wherever we chose, which happened to be outside with the amazing views of the rolling hills. Table service only at the moment, but this was friendly and attentive. The food was fabulous too. Definitely recommend the pies. The only niggle was after they brought the bill nobody came to take payment. We waited a while but in the end just went inside to pay. Not a major issue, but we were on our way to meet people. Would definitely be back if I was in the area!
Good beer, wholesome food, friendly staff and a good local atmosphere. Room comfy, clean, warm with great view over garden and across the valley.
Great outdoor views and great quality food. Service was excellent. Have a small selection of cask ales some of which weren’t bad. Dessert was particularly scrummy. Small parking lot situated next to it. Would recommend for Sunday roasts.
