Was here for the Wings and Beer on Election Day night ! Bursting with anticipation, in the electric atmosphere, didn't spend a bad time ! Sat alone for 15 minutes too, while my roommate went out to get something, it was pretty interesting to sit there watch the activity.
Wings were great. Ordered a hot mango something. Beer and cocktails are pretty good too ! Our server was beautiful and really kind !
Not too far from the metro, friendly staff, good selection of whiskey. Richard is a great bartender! Relaxed neighborhood pub on a Friday night.
What can go wrong in an Irish Pub?. Great food and a good time here before catching a concert at The Black Cat. We had a couple of hours to kill so we walked over to Duffy's and had a few pitchers of brew and dinner.
I had a bacon cheeseburger that came with Tot's instead of fries. There must have been a half of a bag of tot's on each of our plates. It was insane. The burger was large and delicious. Our server while not very talkative was friendly and efficient and keep the pitchers refilled as soon as we emptied one.
Great pub food. I stopped by Duffy's the first time having heard about their wings and since I am a wing lover had to see if they lived up to the hype. The wings were perfectly cooked (I like them pretty well done) and the sauce was incredible (I got the medium). My wife got the Vegetarian Lasagna and was very happy with it. No problems with the service and we got a pitcher of Duffy's ale for $16 not bad.
Since that first visit we have been back several times, have so far had more wings, shepherd's pie, fish & Chips. all were quite good. Mind you there's nothing fancy here...but a good place to watch a game and grab a bite to eat.
Disapointed. I recently stopped by Duffy's and was very disappointed. The fellow who identified himself as the owner was abrasive and lacking is critical customer service skills. In addition, they advertise some of the best chicken wings in Washington. Far from true. What I received was mediocre in taste and preparation. There could have been a better selection of beer on tap. On a positive note the wait staff was very good!!!! With all the wonderful Irish pubs in the area I can not recommend Duffy's.
Great spot!! Fun people, great food. Go and experiance the Irish buritto! (spelling?) a must for pre gaming before 9:30 club.
I am going to bring my first born here for their baptism. Duffys is the Mecca. Mecca of chicken tenders and wings. Duffy’s will cater my wedding with their mozzarella sticks. I will die Duffy's biggest fan.
I am a wing guy who makes wings on a charcoal grill. These wings were some of the best wings I ever had, we had Chesapeake dry rub, you cannot go wrong! PS Richard, the manager was awesome! My wife also had a lemon drop, which was quite underwhelming looking…………she said it was one of the best lemon drops she ever had………YES AT AN IRISH PUB! We are only here for 2 days but I will be back tomorrow for more wings😎
The regular food is pretty standard bar food, but the wings — especially the Chesapeake dry rub — are exceptional. The atmosphere is great. The bartenders are awesome and will not tolerate bad behavior.
Was staying nearby and asked for a recommendation to watch a game. I was sent here and was not disappointed. Make sure to try the wings, Chesapeake rub was different but very good.
Exactly what you look for in a dive-y Irish Pub, welcoming staff, good atmosphere, drink pieces very good for DC. Great place to watch a Rugby Match.
The Chesapeake wings were high quality, the Lemon black pepper rub was not the best. Great selection of beer and good atmosphere
Duffys Irish pub is heaven on earth, Richard is the uncle I never had (I actually do have uncles tho), the chicken tenders are life changing and the Miller lite is also there. Thank you to duffys for the wonderful football sundays through the years! Go birds!
We did not eat here but ordered delivery. The wings were amazing. Shepherds pie phenomenal. Food was still blazing hot, would definitely order again.
If it's busy you may have to wait a while for food. No table service so order at bar. Service at the bar is great, good selection of drought and cans, local and many others.
Set your expectations before eating here. It is a bar that has great wings. There are no waiters or anyone holding your hand while you're here. Order at the bar, drink beer, watch sports type of place. Nothing more than that. My type of place and I enjoy it every time.
We had a great time at Duffy's. We had just filed out of a comedy show two doors down and we were looking for a quick pit stop before heading on our way. We ended up staying nearly 3 hours because we were having such a great time. Ricardo was behind the bar, and he was really great to us. We will be back next time we are in town!
