Was in town for a work trip. My phone ran out of battery and I was sweatin like crazy. Walked around looking for places for awhile, ended up at the bar (it’s connected to the Indian place downstairs; my receipt had ‘Taste of India’ on it)—despite being understaffed, they were amazing. Bartender was running orders downstairs while taking care of the few ppl at the bar up top. Thanks so much for having me & charging my phone!

Good looking bar with genuine character, an actual neighborhood dive, which is rare for DC, which is full of brand new places cosplaying as dive bars...
Bars in houses are always good (in this case, on the second floor of a thin 3 story house), and this is no exception. Good drinks prices, esp for DC, and as others have noted, you can order from the Indian restaurant downstairs at the bar.
Slow but the bartender was very welcoming and awesome. Good place to hangout. Great place to have meetings and socialize. Look for James...
Great dive bar - Chris is an excellent bartender and the regulars here are very friendly. I went twice while I was in DC and had a blast both times. You can order Indian food from the restaurant downstairs and it is excellent.
Best bar in this part of DC. Bartender is the best part, and the prices are great as well.
Great local dive bar. They serve Indian food from downstairs at the bar which is a nice change from the usual fried bar foods. James took care of us on a Friday and was an excellent bartender.
Cool local bar with a good vibe. A few TVs with sports games. Friendly staff.
I liked this bar a lot. It's a bit outside of the center but very comfortable and warm hearted. Really lovely staff.
Don't visit the bar unless you know Keith. Keith is considered one of the last great social bar keepers. His conversation, wit, and worldliness makes him a great asset. Also the Indian food is fabulous.
