Upon entering The Bullpen, I was immediately drawn to its lively atmosphere. This is absolutely not my scene. I dread loud music, beer, and feeling like I’m in the thunder dome. And going into it I was miserable. And that changed fast.
The crowd was fun and friendly, the band played a huge mix of music, not just the AC/DC style songs you’d expect. And overall it was a good time. But don’t expect good drinks or any form of selection.
Best place in DC to watch the game. Only reason I have the food 4-stars what because they serve "ball park food" which I like, but it's not like a place I say, "Let's go to dinner here" Great service. Great beer prices!
We enjoyed this place. We went to watch a band. It was crowded. Drinks were not terribly expensive. Food was average. I would definitely recommend this place.

The Bullpen is the go to spot in the District for pre-game music, drinks, and snacks. The brat was grilled to perfection, the cocktails delicious (they pack a punch), and everyone who works there - very friendly! The live music was great AND no cover!
Great place to hang around before and after the ball game.
I went to the event for the afrobeats and Wine Festival it was a pretty cool atmosphere but it was very hot outside and I actually wish that they had more fans to help coolers and more seating to get out of the Heat
This is an amazing venue for great food, drinks at music just outside the Navy Yard metro station on the green line metro. It is minutes away from the National's Stadium, surrounded by several great bars, restaurants, coffee shops and ATMs.
Great spot for a drink or to meet up with friends before or after a Nats game. Large bar area, live music, and multiple smaller shops inside. No cover charge. Smoking is allowed inside and at least one vendor sells cigars and cigarettes. The only bathrooms available are portapotties, but there are plenty of them available.
