Cute little place in a great neighborhood of DC. Walking distance from both the zoo and the metro. Salsa is extremely spicy so watch out. Food was well priced. They are supposed to charge you for water but we were not so keep that in mind. Limited A/C so you should probably bring your own water
My husband and I come here frequently! The tacos al pastor are the closest thing I've had in the US to the tacos you can get on the street in Mexico City. The horchata is the BEST horchata I have ever had.
The service is always friendly although sometimes slow it is worth the wait. The prices are fair and similar to other restaurants in the area.
This is a nice touch to Columbia Heights. The food is choice. All of those fast food burrito places has nothing on them. The meat is so fresh, the juices are pouring out of it like a woman who's water broke.
Graphic, but it's Truth. I mean, dude, there were still some bits of cartilage on there. So you know it's not processed and packaged. And the tortilla was crispy and warm.
On this side of the coast, this is the best burrito. And if you think differently, well, all I gotta say is: Haters gonna hate; keep hatin'.
Fantastic food, modest setting. Prices are very reasonable, and it's BYOB to boot! Try the chicharron (pork belly) in salsa verde or the menudo for something unique, or the tacos al pastor or barbacoa for something more standard. Don't forget the fresh salsa! There's a small patio outside and TVs inside to catch up on your telenovelas.
Good combo deal let's you try four tacos of your choosing, plus a beverage and dessert. Enjoyed the salty and flavorful chorizo taco. Service is warm and friendly.
Very reasonable prices, delicious green salsa for your chips, and fantastic carnitas. It's not the best Mexican you've ever had, but it *is* a solid choice.
Shrimp tostadas were good. Free bottled water seemed wasteful but well intentioned. Relaxed atmosphere and really filling food.
Great food. Made fresh in the kitchen, visible to those waiting. Meats are well cooked and horchata is refreshing.
The food came out fast and was very delicious, the chips were good, and the guacamole as very well made. Overall I enjoyed eating there.
Very good food here. Small hole in the wall kind of place but I like it a lot. Perfect for hungover brunch : )
