This was our first trip to Nanny O’Brien’s but it won’t be our last! The food was excellent and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was perfect - cozy seating, dark wood, and a full selection of beer and other drinks. It’s exactly how I imagine a relaxing, neighborhood bar - and the prices are reasonable.

Was visiting DC for work and met a friend here. It was solid. The service was good and friendly. I ordered the wings, and they were also pretty good. Plus, they poured me several black velvets, which are always delicious. Highly recommend.
Pleasant neighborhood sports Bar. A warm & convivial place to watch the game of the moment. The burger was barely adequate, the fries bland, but a good selection of beer was available. They were quite shorthanded, one person did everything. To our amazement he dealt well with the 20 or so customers & we cannot fault anything about our service.
Great neighborhood Irish pub. Friendly service, fair selection of beers, tasty food, and a real local feel (the staff knew many of the clientele by name). Definitely a place to visit regularly.
The best place in Washington D.C. for fried pickles. If you are a fried pickle aficionado, you know how hard it is to find a restaurant that makes them correctly. Seriously though, the staff is friendly and great. The atmosphere is lovely. The menu is what you expect from an American-Irish pub. If you are in the area, stop in and have a bite.
Great authentic Irish bar in NW DC. Excellent for New York Giants games. Very friendly bartenders who know everybody almost like family. Enjoyed my beer and a Reuben! Fun to be there.
The entrance does not appear inviting, but inside it’s really good. It’s a pub but it’s also a family-friendly spot for a lunch break while or after visiting the zoo. Ample seating, great food choice (chicken tenders, chicken wings, sandwiches), friendly staff, honest prices, and… air conditioning!!
This is the beast place! We sat for dinner, the atmosphere is amazing, they have good drinks too. The prices are very good for the portions that you get and it’s delicious. The staff is also very helpful and polite. If you are in the aria I recommend!
Had a great time. The bartender was the only one serving. Did a great job. Will come back. Nice place for after the zoo. Highly recommend.
Fish and chips portion should be bigger for the price. Two smaller pieces of fish and a handful of fries shouldn't be $18. The food was good.. just not much of it.
