Decent quick chinese food take out on Connecticut Avenue near the Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan metro red line station. I ordered the Tofu with Mixed Vegetables lunch special which came with plain fried rice. I asked for it to be spicy and the tofu dish was good, fresh, and spicy as requested. The fried rice was rather bland. Seating outside. No table service.

I got the Kung Pao chicken lunch special. And I was expecting something really small, but I was more than surprised that the portion was huge! The food quality is great! I don't know what other people are writing. I would definitely come back again. Not only excellent value for the money but also very tasty for Chinese food! I've had Chinese food all over the place and this is definitely very good.

This place is such a great local spot, I used to mostly go to the Han Palace which is nearby but thought I'd try out Eddie's since it's closer to my house. But after going here twice now I can say it definitely will be my go-to spot in the future. The portions for the lunch and dinner specials are VERY generous and give such a great value. Food is delicious and hits the spot when you're craving classic take out Chinese. I highly recommend

So good, large portions and so cheap!! They also deliver for only a dollar. Really really awesome. I got the chicken fried rice and hot and sour soup.

Solid Chinese food - I had the chicken and vegetables, and it comes with hot sour soup. Not greasy, full of flavor and well worth it. Hot and sour soup is soooo good. I could have a pint of that and be happy. Food came out in under 5 min - packaged well for take out. Love this place

Eddie's is my favorite neighborhood Chinese takeout spot. The food is consistently fresh and delicious and you can tell that the chef takes a lot of care in each preparation. For quick, affordable, and satisfying takeout, Eddie's is always a great choice!

Had a nice meal ,(Moo sho chicken ). Ate outside . Met a pleasant gentleman who was also dining. I enjoyed the evening as people strolled by and a few sparrows helped me with my rice.

Have to admit that as neighbors, we've overlooked this tiny restaurant, which offers takeout but has no place to sit indoors -- just a few seats on the wide sidewalk outside. (Truth be told, we kind of assumed it mainly served tourists.) But all we get these days is takeout and this evening we were craving Chinese food -- the sort we could find easily in Southern California, not the Asian-fusion dishes you get so often in DC (which to us are more like Thai and Vietnamese.) After reading some positive reviews and finding out that it was indeed open (despite the fact that Woodley Park's two big hotels have been closed for months), we decided to give Eddie's Cafe a try. We're SO glad we did and are just sorry it took us so long! Each dish was prepared in a different style, with different sauces and flavors; the portions were large; and it tasted really good. (Kung Pao Chicken, Eggplant with Ginger & Basil Sauce, and Pan Fried String Beans.) And we've got soup saved for tomorrow to enjoy with the leftovers. This is actually the best Chinese food we've found in this neighborhood, and we plan to become regulars. Don't ignore what seem to be holes-in-the wall!

For a hole-in-the-wall Chinese carry-out restaurant, it deserves 3 or 4 stars. It's not amazing Chinese food, but it's good for the price. I had General Tso's. It came with a darker sauce that had a good taste but wasn't unfortunately wasn't very spicy. The chicken was well cooked but there were some fatty pieces.
