The staff there are so welcoming! Our family had a great time. Our initial plans fell through and they were available for us last minute. Im glad we ended up choosing this restaurant. Food tasted great! Will be back!
The chicken marsala was the best I've had in a long time and that crab cake sandwich! . ...mmmhmmm
Friendly and attentive staff that aren't overbearing. Had to ask for no broccoli and they gave me a wonderful salad instead without a question for no additional charge. Drinks were on point!
Cute little place. We had the chicken arugula with baked mozzarella. We also had the burger. I'm giving them 4.5 because the burger states it comes with pork belly. It only came with bacon. But everything was fresh and delicious.
I usually only write a review when I have been wronged by a company and want to do my best to make them go out of business. I have never wrote a review for a restaurant. My wife and I were at Sibley Memorial Hospital and I had some time to kill and I was hungry so I randomly walked into Salt & Pepper. I was immediately greeted by just about everyone in that restaurant. I was promptly seated and asked if there were any happy hour specials. Sadly I had missed happy hour, but the bartender who I think is also the proprietor Dylan offered me a discount on my drinks. Besides the great service and friendly staff and food was amazing. I had one of the best steaks in my life there. After chatting and letting them know my wife I were were having a baby Dylan offered me a free glass of wine and a piece of chocolate cake to take back to my wife. I once belonged to a private dinning club that had exceptional service. But this was just a random restaurant that I happened to stumble into and the service was the best I have ever received. I plan to take my wife and new baby girl there to meet everyone and enjoy the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Pizza was great, and the dessert was fantastic. The manager was very friendly and talkative. I especially like the view of MacArthur from the nice big windows where we were sitting. I really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back!
The restaurant manager warmly welcomed us into the restaurant one rainy evening and sat us down in a comfortable booth. He clearly ENJOYS meeting new people and developing a relationship with his customers.
The service was EXCELLENT as was the food--salads, Italian, burgers, etc. Everything was cooked and presented perfectly.
I live in Florida and come to D.C.to visit my son, an AU graduate. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for its food quality, prices, and overall pleasurable neighborhood eating experience.
Food was good and the manager was very friendly; making sure all went well with our meal. I noticed several groups of regulars getting a friendly greeting upon arrival. It gave the place a nice neighborhood feel.
We had he opposite experience the gentlemen from the earlier review gave about his steak dinner. The manager was charming and the service wonderful. I had the salmon and my husband the ribs, both of which were delicious. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.
wonderful food. Home made pasta, organic vegetables etc. Cozy seating in booths with pillows. Also outdoor dining in good weather.
Extensive menu. Very child friendly. Brunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is excellent.
I had a really great time here showed Dylan me a really great time. It was hospitable from the start. Upon walking in I was immendiatley greeted and sat even though there was a huge party on the patio. The service was excellent and I was even provided suggestions as far as popular items on the menu a single I found this helpful being that it was my first time here. I had to ask if this was really an American restaurant being that everything's like home. It really makes a difference! I was even shown an herb garden in which they used to make my monitors!!! This place really hit my heart and I will definitely recommend this place over and over again. Thank you Dylan!!!!
