What an awesome place!!
We attended as a surprise gift to me for my birthday, and it did not disappoint. Such a cool place full or amazing things. We ended up finding 14 of the 85 doors and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with our adventure.
Our favorite rooms were definitely the rainbow Pop Culture room, and the Wine Cellar.
One of our highlights though was definitely working with Maddie. She was fantastic and fun from start to finish, and it’s clear she loves what she does and enjoys working with people.
Thank you O Street for the blast, and thank you Maddie for the laughs! ☺️
Very fun experience exploring the rooms! Only found 10 secret doors and spent 2 hours here. You can take as long as you want exploring. Each room has fun themes and lots of albums Instruments, clothes and flatware for sale. Some rooms are stacked with delicate items so you have to be very careful. Very unique experience
I wanted to love it but… Hear me out I almost gave them five stars. The night I went one of the rooms I saw in photos was off limits because of private event. Normally I wouldn’t mind or complain as I’m super easy going but they didn’t disclose this prior to me paying $40 a person. Not only is that one of their super cool rooms but also two cool doors. Overall we had a great time and an experience we found 11 doors. I do wish it had more “doors” some of them weren’t what I would have considered a door. I believe it would be better advertised as museum of curiosities.

Had such a fun time here. I found about 5 secret entry ways. Bring your walking shoes cause you will be doing lots of it. Great place for a group of friends or by yourself. You can explore the Mansion for as long as you like. Staff was friendly and polite.
The museum was quite fun. We spent a few hours here exploring the different floors and rooms; trying to find the secret doors and passageways. I wish it wasn't quite so hot, and it was also hard to find parking. But would totally do it again!
By far the highlight of our recent trip to DC to celebrate our daughter’s 13th birthday. She was STOKED when we told her about the museum.
I purposely didn’t read anything about the O mansion beforehand to have an open mind and the experience surpassed every expectation. The history, memorabilia and of course the secret doors made for a wonderful afternoon
One last tip for families - stairs…lots and lots of stairs. Prepare accordingly! Haha
Finding this place was like finding a secret door! I was looking for a place to visit in DC that allowed some walking, wasn't crowded and gave us lots to talk about. Wow!
We spent almost two hours here, just walking around, looking at the rooms and seeing all the things in the various rooms and hallways. I know we didn't see it all, which kind of blows my mind.
We found 8 or 9 secret doors, my husband had such a great time and is totally determined to have a secret door or two in our forever home :)
The weekend after we visited I recommended this place to both my brother's family and one of my closet friends - I also recommend it to you.
There is a lot of walking - up stairs, downstairs, through doors, hallways etc. and there is so much to see (and buy!). And hear - some rooms have music playing, some rooms have a lecture or speech playing and many also have related video on a screen.
We had a great time here and are determined to return one day to find some additional doors and rooms.
If you are someone who loves guitars, I would suggest you put aside some time and check the guitar collection out - we didn't really study them, but it was a very impressive collection.
The two things that stuck out to me most were the sketches of Winne the Pooh and Piglet and the Yellow Submarine ukulele.
This place was so much fun to visit, thank you so much!
Staff: amazing
The house: amazing.
Time well spent on my Halloween day visiting the O mansion. I didn't like the fact that they didn't have a refrigerator magnet with the picture of the mansion to sell. It is the first time I go back home without proof of my visit, lol. It's totally worthy. You should go too.
Wow, what a great experience, you will never see everything on the first visit. Secret doors and passages among many other historic cultural and pop culture. Very cool.

Went to the O Museum in The Mansion for the tour. This tour included searching for hidden doors and gems through out the space. There are 70 hidden doors, but most that tour only find a small fraction of them. Normally less than 2. ;)
Spent a few hours exploring and was able to find a few doors and a few hidden gems. 14 doors, and 2 gems. The Rosa Parks room was fantastic, to actually be in a space that she lived for over 10 years was epic. The entire mansion feels like a huge thrift/antique store. It has a ton of books, toys, dishes, you name it. The space is fantastic. It is a lot of walking and a lot of stairs, although you can take the elevator to each floor. Overall this was the most enjoyable tour we took while visiting the Nation's Capital.
