Typical British gastro pub- with a tavern like ambiance. We visited in the weekend and it was quite packed. British breakfast fare was pretty huge in size, and quite greasy. I couldn’t finish. On the other hand, the fish and chips was excellent. Huge crispy fried fish was right on spot, although fries/ chips were mediocre.
Great place to watch Liverpool 0-0 Man U, was absolutely packed. Had a Sunday Roast which for $25 was excellent value for money.
This place is legit.
I wanted a traditional English style breakfast like I had while traveling in the UK a couple years ago.
This place was the first result and I’m glad I stuck on that. That breakfast was exactly was I wanted and there was even an Arsenal game on to indulge in the atmosphere. Additional bonus for them having HP / Brown sauce.
I’ll be headed back here soon. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
This is a great spot if you're looking for some classic British grub. It has the vibe of a proper tavern. They also host special UK-centric events like Burns Night or fan meetings for football matches. I went on a Friday evening after work and made a reservation in advance, but that wasn't necessary as the place wasn't full. Definitely book in advance if you're going for some kind of special event tho.
What an incredible experience! I'm a lifelong Liverpool fan and was in DC for the weekend and wanted to check it out. I thought it was too good to be true, I was wrong. The food was excellent, traditional English pub fare! Service was incredible, they were clearly busy but we were taken care of all morning. The owner himself chipped in to help and warmly greeted just about every guest in the place. When the whole bar sang "You'll Never Walk Alone" at the end I had my Field of Dreams moment where I said to my brother who was with me "Is this Heaven?" And he correctly said "No, this is life at the Queen Vic!"
Really great place. The food was amazing and so was their beer, the atmosphere is like no other bar in my opinion. Went to watch LIV-MUN in a United jersey and it was packed with Liverpool fans. Had fun with the jokes they had, all fun 🙏
Absolutely phenomenal!! Amazing service. I recommend getting a reservation if you want to sit downstairs but other than that plenty of room just not on match days. Food portions are massive so I suggest splitting. Had the pork schnitzel and chicken tiki masala. Bartender is very knowledgeable and even with few sweet drinks made something for my taste.
Fun English style pub. A decent selection of ales and lagers on tap. A bit pricey. I was there with my boys to watch a Liverpool game mid-day. The atmosphere was lively and the Reds pulled it out at the last moment... so good all around.
I attended a baby shower here. The chef is to die for. They have a lovely mix of foods to fit most dietary needs. This is definitely a good place to get a bit adventurous with your food choices. Upstairs is available for special events and downstairs caters to the international football community. Well worth stopping in.
Food and drinks were excellent. Friend's food was so salty it was inedible. My food was *fantastic*.
The pudding and the donuts were delightful, definitely get. The pudding was probably one of the best things I've ever tasted.
The Mac n cheese gnocchi was so salty it was inedible.
The potato, cheese, and sauerkraut perogies were OUT OF THIS WORLD. Pro tip: get a side of fries to dip in the leftover gravy. You'll want it. It's outstanding.
The brussel sprouts were decent. Nothing to write home about. Didn't really go with the rest of the order, which was *my* fault, but they still were only decent.
