Thanks Angolo for making our couple of days in DC very memorable. We walked in a 10pm and you welcomed us with open arms. The food was sensational and the service amazing. We loved it so much we went back again!
I've guess they changed because I saw multiple people post about the service but all the staff was so friendly and attentive. We had a great experience there. The food was so rich and flavorful. It's also so nice to have some halal Italian in the area. There are very little and this place definitely hits the spot. They have a large drink options for all my wine and liquor people so there's definitely something for everyone. If you're in the Georgetown area definitely check this out.
A wonderful dining experience for a Saturday night out in DC. As authentic as anywhere outside of Italy. Our server was pleasant and attentive- not in-your-face every five minutes, but at the table often enough that we never needed to ask for anything.
The food was amazing. I had the lasagna, wife had a white pizza and our daughter had some type of pasta with seafood. All were delicious!
The atmosphere was fine but this is not a quaint, romantic spot. It was kind of loud in the small indoor dining room, with two TVs tuned to sports channels. We had an early dinner and it wasn't crowded but I could see it filling up around 7pm or so. If the weather is nice the outdoor seating area would be great.
Overall it was a nice evening out with the family.
This is an authentic Italian restaurant. the food was outstanding the lemon cello cake and the Alfredo was absolutely delicious! The best food we have had during our DC visit!!! The atmosphere is also spot on with the Italian music. Overall it’s is an amazing place to visit.
The lobster with linguini was great. It had a slight flavor of garlic, nice Italian touch. The linguini was served with a bit of fresh basil, very tasty. Marcello took great care of us from the moment we walked in.
One of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten in.
The food was delicious.
The staff were welcoming and friendly.
The restaurant was not overly busy but there were enough people to create an Atmosphere.
If you are hungry when in Georgetown, then definitely give this place a try.
Thank you for a great meal.
Service:
Pretty disappointing to be honest. We approached someone who we weren’t sure was the waiter on the side walk since we wanted to eat in the outside patio. He looked up at us and then went back to browsing his phone so we thought maybe it’s a customer. Went inside and asked for an outside table. The manager brought us out to the dance guy who was preoccupied by his phone to engage us earlier. Service was kind of lackluster during dinner. I renege being thirsty because my water wasn’t refilled and waiters were nowhere to be found
Food:
The burrata ravioli was decent, albeit a bit on the dryer side. They were out of the pasta dish we wanted so we chose gnocchi as our backup. Gnocchi was good. Enjoyed that the food is halal
Price:
$20-30 per dish. Expect a cost of $30-40/person once appetizer and drinks are included. The ambiance was nice and the food was decent, but given the poor service, overall I felt like the pricing is a bit on the high side for what you get.
Verdict:
Decent halal Italian. I’d come back
We were 2 very hungry humans that had a full day of walking and sight seeing the capital. Everything was closed or there wasn't any accessible parking (parking in DC is horrible), so we drove to Georgetown and found this location. They were open at 10:20pm and sat us in the patio. Staff was friendly and we were the only customers. The food was delicious! Pizza dough was perfectly oven baked and the spaghetti was really good. Tasted "home-made." If you are ever in Georgetown, visit this little place. The food and staff are great!
Staff was very quick and attentive. The dining area was warm, low-light. Very clean and inviting. Food was AMAZING, piping hot and delicious. The Penne Angolo was portioned perfectly and the chocolate cake was rich. Would recommend to anyone for an intimate date or a family outing.
I ordered Linguini con Vongole and it was delicious!!
Linguini with fresh clams and garlic clam sauce.
Garlic bread was extra but worth it!!
While the food was delicious, what sold me was the bartender who was patient enough to chat with a traveler who doesn't know how to pick a proper wine for his meal.
