I was there yesterday for the seafood and pasta and loved it so much that I went back tonight and had eggplant parm. The eggplant was good but that seafood and pasta was top notch! Highly recommend this restaurant!
I had a great time there this passed weekend. Very clean, friendly, courteous, professional staff. The Chef even came out to great us. The bottomless mimosa's were outstandingly delicious and my glass was always full. The food was fresh hot and great. I will recommend this place to any and everyone to visit at least once in there lifetime if in the Washington DC area. :)
This is a small eatery with a quiet, possibly romantic ambiance. The food was amazing and the staff was very polite. I tried the pasta in white truffel sauce which was delectable.
Hidden Gem. Italian restaurant Speakeasy is the only way to explain. One word. WOW!
My wife and I tried this place recently when we wanted some pizza but were looking to try a spot we haven't tried before. The pizza is a bit different than what you would typically expect, but it was absolutely delicious. It reminded me of french bread pizza, but replace the french bread with an airy rosemary focaccia and you have an idea of what to expect.
We also tried the calamari, which despite not always being a dish that travels well (via takeout or delivery), was delicious and had a perfect light breading on it. Dessert was great too, though we can't wait to try the gelato once they're making it again.
Customer service was great as well. Highly recommend trying out this hidden neighborhood spot!
By the far the most amazing Italian food I have ever had. Handmade noodles, sausage, and meatballs. All equally amazing. The owner was great, answered all of our questions and was extremely personable. The food came out hot and after sampling everything else my family had as well as my own, was consistently delicious. The service was great, the food arrived relatively quickly. The price was completely reasonable given the absolute quality of the food. We are all so glad we turned a corner and decided to give this place a try. It was some of the best food I have ever had, in a quiet, charming, family built restaurant.
Absolutely wonderful. Fresh pasta with flavorful authentic sauce- incredible gnocchi, honestly out of this world. Good bread, solid house wine, reasonable prices. Their gelato is truly to die for- we had a chocolate orange that absolutely blew my mind. Don't want to miss this local gem.
Cute Italian bistro with delicious pasta options and gelato!
The staff was amazing! We made a reservation through Open Table... we arrived early and were seated immediately. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and took great care of us while we were there. The food was phenomenal! I was visiting from out of town, but I hope to get to eat here again in the future.
Came for brunch and stayed a few hours longer than anticipated! The food was fantastic, excellent quality. You must try the gelato, apparently the owner's son went to Italy to learn how to make it. And apparently he's a great student because it was delicious. Staff was polite and attentive. Worth the visit.
Hidden downstairs, Sorristro serves classic Italian food. There's limited seating, but the food is fresh and flavorful. The dining room and bar feel like a neighborhood joint, but the food quality is excellent. It's probably not ideal for large groups, but is great for a few friends.
Fantastic food! Fast and great service! I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who likes pizzeria style food!
The best Italian restaurant in DC hands down. The food is impeccably prepared with only the freshest ingredients. Flavors are authentic and perfectly balanced. Sauces' integrity are kept intact and compliment just about every dish on the menu. The wine list is superb yet straightforward. It amazes me how Sorriso keeps their prices so affordable. If this is your first time and you are an epicure looking for your Italian food paradise, look no further. If you are a repeat customer, the menu allows you enough tantalizingly delicious choices for yout to explore time and time over again. Here is a secret: ask for the Nutella pizza for dessert. It will change your life and leave your speechless. The owner and staff are very down to earth, unpretentious, and will create a personalized experience for you. If you are looking for a cookie-cutter Italian experience, please move on because you will not appreciate this jewel and this place is not for you.
