Burrito with lobster, Wagyu and Caviar! Sold! Slow roasted duck is also a must have! Cocktails are incredible! My favorite new place. And if you aren’t feeling like a sit down experience, Taco Bamba is thru the double doors!

Poca madre is the best newcomer I have been to in DC this year and I have been to all of them that the critics have raved about. The food here is so flavorful and delicious. Such well thought out dishes we were all mesmerized by the food we we getting. We probably over ordered as the portions were more than adequate. The drinks were pretty darn good too. One of the top three restaurants to eat at in DC if you are just visiting. Not to be missed!

Probably one of the best new restaurants in town. There wasn't a dish we didn't like. Between four people we ordered about seven dishes that included a whole fish and their duck done Al pastor style. The whole fish was the favorite dish of the night. The only thing that we didn't find appealing was the hot chocolate...just ordinary and paled in comparison to the awesome cocktails we had that night. Some of the cocktails were not just tasty but came with their own table side show (blowtorch and smoke to say the least). The hot chocolate which was the only hiccup of the dining experience which included some high end service from all those in the front of the house. Highly recommended as a place to celebrate special occasions or just a great place for dinner.

I've been a fan of Taco Bamba for awhile - see that review on another page. This is an offshoot, taken up several notches. The place apparently shares the same kitchen as Bamba. There are some familiar flavors but in a different form factor. The meats are clearly done the same way, but plated as meat compared to a taco. They are very good. Our group tried nearly every item on the menu. One thing I would highly caution against is the Tomahawk steak... Yeah, don't know who ordered this, while tasty, it's unnecessary at a Mexican higher end restaurant and at $110 for the meat, not smart. Overall, the food is excellent, but I would say that each dish is 20% too expensive. For six people at a nicer Mexican restaurant it was $600 bones. Drinks can into the same bucket. Again, very good food, albeit a little pricey. Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz

We had a fantastic experience exploring the very creative menu. We chose the skip the tasting menu and selected from the appetizers and smaller entrees instead. Favs are the scallop ceviche and the soft-shell crab dishes, but it’s hard to go wrong! Fun wine list to top it off!

Good Mexican-American fusion restaurant. Taste is good and staffs are friendly. There are some rare premium tequila. Atmosphere is nice to have dinner with your important others in casual style.

Good, interesting, smoky food. Drinks are fabulous. Tortillas and salsa are delicious. Wasn’t huge on the duck. Several of the waiters were outstanding and kind. One was less so.

One of the best tasting meals I've had in DC. Each dish is packed with oaxacan flavor. Sat at the bar, bartender delivered excellent serving providing his recommendations. I took all of them and they didn't disappoint. The octopus in squid ink on top of Blanco mole is must have. Flavor was savory and a little sweet from carmelization. Not chewy. Will return.

Incredibly delighted with this Chinatown gem. The decor and space were lovely - well lit, unique window decor and cute succulents on the tables. Service was quick and knowledgeable. The drinks were remarkably delicious. Probably couldn’t go wrong with any of them. The food was so unique and at times, weird (grasshoppers in an appetizer), but all around really tasty. The donuts for dessert and roasted cauliflower for a side are must-haves. So. Good. Highly recommend Poca Madre.

Creative dishes with excellent presentation. Good flavor pairings (had the charred cabbage, and scallops dishes). Service was decent.
