My daughter & I enjoyed some “mock tails” (mango lemonade and coconut lemongrass cooler and lunch of summer rolls and dumplings-friendly staff -nice choice on a humid Sunday
Nice, underground restaurant. Great food at a reasonable price.
Great find!!!! Excellent food, atmosphere and staff.
Wonderful food, wonderful staff, great atmosphere! We had a wonderful dinner for a very reasonable price. Would definitely eat here again when in dupont circle. The fried ice cream was amazing too!
A beautiful atmosphere with very few customers during early dinner. I had a Masaman Curry Dish. Everything about this Restraunt screams quiet date spot and enjoyable Gatherings when you value hearing your friends. I am eating with one other person in the building. 20 tables for 4. These guys need more business for the quality food and service they provide. Any general fan of Thai will love monopolizing on this untapped environment. Also, the door may be closed even if it is open and looks closed due to lack of customers. Just walk inside the dining area and sit down. Glasses are above average size. Menu pics posted hopefully if I get menu back.
Bangkok Thai has a cute little entrance with steps leading you down to the restaurant. The food was top notch. I am vegetarian so I ate the green curry with tofu and the basil fried rice which was delicious 🤤 My hubs had their chicken satay as appetizer which he highly recommends too! The vegetable fried dumplings were awesome! 😍💯
We really enjoyed this place. We had the Pad Thai, Tom yum soup, spring rolls, and a Thai chicken dish. All were very good. Great location and service was good. I would definitely recommend this place.
Food is good, but I would say too authentic (meaning too spicy 🌶) even dishes which are considered mild spicy were extreme for me, even though I used to live in Thailand for awhile. But service was fast. And in general experience was good. Be aware of spicyness of food😊
Really great, cozy and friendly thai restaurant near DuPont circle! The food at Bangkok was excellent; I had the Thai green salad and Chicken Drunken Noodle which was wonderfully spiced and flavored. The staff was very nice, and the atmosphere was very cozy. Highly recommend if you like Thai food, and especially if you want a nice intimate restaurant without a lot of noise where you can get food without a long wait.
Delicious food at a very reasonable cost. The dishes are prepared pretty quicly so there's not a long wait if you are doing a power lunch. The spicy dishes are well-balanced and the dishes are well presented. The sticky rice is a favorite of mine.
The food and service here was lovely. The spiciness of the food here is definitely similar to Thailand and not Western spicy.
One star down because there was a bad smell in the restaurant. Smells like it wasnt clean or they have a dog indoors that left a mess.
Update: this may not be the best restaurant for food allergies because I asked for chicken drunken noodles without egg, and they put the egg in anyway. That's not even an ingredient that is in drunken noodles and other restaurants. They don't even have egg listed as an ingredient in the menu for drunken noodles... Which could also be a problem if somebody has an egg allergy. Downgrading the restaurant from 5 to 4 stars

This is my first visit, but I'm happy to up the score if I have another good meal there. I tried chicken pas see ew and Curry puffs and both were good. The staff is very nice too. There is a little bit of seating outside but everybody needs to walk past it to get in. Sometimes they play music outside. I will definitely try the place again.
Update: I ordered the masaman chicken and drunken noodles with chicken, both of which were very good. I will say that potatoes were undercooked in the masuman. These two dishes are in the photo. I've tried other dishes there now, but I always go back to the mass amount of drunken noodles.
Yet another update, I've ordered the massaman a couple times since then, and the potatoes are not always that undercooked.
Really nice service and great food here! This is def my fav Thai restaurant in dmv area! Strongly recommend spicy lemongrass seafood. Hard to find parking but worth it
I can't stop eating since I ordered first round of those awesome food. This place already up to my #1 list delicious Thai food in my life! Recommend Pataya seafood which is I forgot to take a picture when our waiter Tan bring it to our table and we finished it in a minute! What a cook! Love this place and great service too.
Wow did I love this place. The red curry with extra chicken was delicious. Pad Thai is most popular and they will make it without egg for allergy reasons. The mango rice dessert was a pleasant surprise.
