Food here was surprisingly very good. The fried plantain chips were crunchy and similar to a thick kettle chip crispy. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce but the sauce and accompanying ingredients made a refreshing dish. The salmon, a fish very easily overcooked, was delightfully tender without being raw. The side of asparagus could be charred a little less. Mashed potatoes have a hidden spiciness to them! The beer soaked brown sugar drunken ribeye steak was pretty good overall, however they didn't ask how we wanted it cooked. When asked, they said they cook a tender pink medium steak but did not take a request to make it medium rare. Strangely while most of the steak was a tender medium consistency, a smaller side portion was closer to a better medium rare to rare consistency. The cheesecake was pretty good overall. The warm chocolate cake was a bit dry on the sides but delicately smooth like pudding. The desserts had a contrasting tart sauce that overpowered the cheesecake just a little bit.
Everything was amazing!!! From the decor to the drunken ribeye. Their service was wonderful as well. You can't go wrong with this place. My only regret is I should have came to this place sooner.
Went for dinner on a Tuesday night. Food was outstanding as was the service. Great selection of scotch ... served with the large 2.5 inch ice cube ... excellent espresso. Tried the drunken rib eye ... truly outstanding!
I've been to Claudia's twice this week. The first for their summer lunch special (Chirashi Tuna) and the second for BBQ & Grilling Week... both experiences were amazing! Can't wait to go back!
My children took me to Claudia’s for Father’s Day and the food was delicious and the service was excellent. I definitely recommend it for special occasions.
From the moment you walk in, your experience begins! The ambiance, the service & then the main dish arrives & it’s perfect! From the presentation of the meal until the last bite Claudia’s does it all upscale! A must dine when in DC!
Had lunch here. The decor is great with black & white and crystal theme. The menu reflected a Puerto Rican flare. @RealtorNicola will come back to checkout happy hour and jazz. I will definitely keep this on my list for client meetings
Went to Claudia's for a 730 dinner reservation during restaurant week. Got there 30 min early and enjoyed HH at the bar (bar HH til 8pm). The food was fantastic. Both the kale salad and mixed green salad were great and a good sized portion. The filet (ordered MR) was tender and sat on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes. They ran out of the creme brulee (very disappointing) but offered a carrot cake instead. It was very moist and had good cinnamon flavor. The service was pretty slow but we weren't in a rush- about a 2+hr meal, not including the 30 min HH.
The decor is very nice, modern and chic. Food was great and good sized portions for the price. Would definitely recommend for a date night.
Food is definitely the best anywhere!! Desserts leave a little to be desired.
